MTV NETWORKS EXCLUSIVELY PREMIERES
PIERCE THE VEIL'S MUSIC VIDEO, "CIRCLES"
Pierce The Veil, one of the hottest breaking bands in the alternative/rock world today, will see its music video "Circles" exclusively premiered on MTV today, airing on AMTV, AMTV2, MTV Hits, MTV Live and mtvU beginning at 6:00AM ET. "Circles" will also be available via MTV's Snapchat Discovery channel as well as on VEVO http://vevo.ly/ogxJNy
The "Circles" video was directed by Drew Russ who directed Pierce's 2012 "King For A Day" video that has accumulated more than 70-million YouTube views. The video's concept is loosely based on the 1991 feature film "Nothing But Trouble" that was directed and written by Dan Aykroyd and starred Chevy Chase, John Candy and Aykroyd. PTV is on tour, on the road, their bus pulls up to their hotel for the night, and the second thoughts about this hotel start immediately. The hotel's bar serves drinks laced with snakes, bugs, eyeballs, and other animal parts, the hotel rooms are decorated in "crazy" - rooms full of mirrors. rooms full of rotting food, rooms full of skeletons and mystery stains. San Francisco morning radio host and former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield plays a featured role as an obsessed and very creepy old man.
"Circles," currently a Top 40 track at Alternative radio, a is taken from the band's long-awaited and critically-acclaimed new album Misadventures that debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Pierce The Veil, nominated for "Bandom of the Year," performed the track on last night's broadcast of MTV's Fandom Awards. The band recently completed the sold-out U.S. "Misadventures Tour" and just announced the "Made to Destroy Tour," presented by Journeys, a seven-week North American trek that kicks off on September 3. San Diego, CA's PIERCE THE VEIL is thrilled to unveil the music video for their new single "Floral & Fading". To celebrate the video, the band hosted a special release event last night in association with Spotify and KROQ at Paramount Drive-In Theatre in Paramount, CA. The band held a Q&A broadcast on Facebook Live for fans worldwide, before an acoustic set and private screening of the video on the drive-in big screen for lucky winners, launching simultaneously with the worldwide premiere of the video online for fans around the world.
The video also had its broadcast premiere today with MTV, playing every hour on the hour on MTVU, MTVLive and MTV2. The track is taken from the band's latest album Misdaventures, which debuted at #4 in the Billboard Top 200 last year with 54,000 copies sold in the U.S. in its first week.
"We weren't really sure what kind of song we were making when we recorded 'Floral & Fading,'" frontman Vic Fuentes explains. "It was sort of a studio experiment that ended up being one of my favorites on the album. It's a love song to my girl about ignoring all the internet hate we got when we first started dating and focusing on each other instead."

Pierce The Veil are currently on tour supporting their smash hit album "Misadventures", which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart when it was released May 13. Before the took the stage in Philly drummer Mike Fuentes and guitarist Tony Perry spoke to us about the album, the success of it and how the writing and overall ideas came together, their upcoming performance June 27 on late night tv's "Conan", and the Alternative Press Music Awards (their single "Circles" is nominated for "Song of the Year")
Once it was show time the sold out TLA crowd welcomed Mike, Tony, guitarist and lead singer Vic Fuentes, and bassist Jaime Preciado by screaming, and singing along to song one of the night "Dive In". The intimate setting of the TLA stage was transformed into everything "Misadventures", from the backdrop resembling the album cover to the larger than life cutouts of various items from the cover flanking both sides of the stage. Confetti shot out and covered the crowd, billows of smoke blew up from the stage, and fantastic lights grooved to the sounds of Pierce The Veil.
Most bands hit the road in support of an album and play one to three songs from the album, filling the rest of their set with hits. Pierce The Veil however do things their own way and for this tour they are playing every single song from the album! Of course crushing hits "King For A Day" and "Bulls In The Bronx" were performed, but the focus was "Misadventures". The most impressive thing I noticed was that even though the album only dropped May 13th (just over a month ago) the crowd sang along with Vic on every single song. Vic even pointed out the fact and thanked Philly for it.
Vic was left alone on stage with a mic and an acoustic guitar which set up the song "Today I Saw The Whole World". Vic told the crowd that although "Misadventures" has no acoustic song on it he wanted to play one acoustic song so he could sing along with the fans. The song went over huge!
As Mike told me during our backstage interview, Pierce The Veil did not rush the making of "Misadventures", even though studio time was tight and deadlines were coming and going. They did it right and did it so they could give the fans something they would appreciate. When the "Misadventures" tour comes to your town make sure to see Vic, Mike, Tony, and Jaime doing it their way....the right way.

Pierce The Veil, one of the country's hottest young breaking bands, has just released a video clip that tells the story of the inspiration and recording of their new single "Circles." The song is from the band's brand new album Misadventures (Fearless Records) that debuted at #1 on Billboard's Alternative, Rock, Hard Rock and Independent charts, and at #4 on the Top Albums charts. You can check the video out here:
Inspired by last fall's horrific terriorist attack in Paris, "Circles" tells a hypothetical tale of two friends at the Eagles of Death Metal show and how they tried to save each other as the onslaught was taking place. "I watched the Eagles of Death Metal talk about what happened," said Pierce the Veil's lyricist Vic Fuentes. "They said a lot of people died trying to save their friends, and that just really affected me, thinking about these kids at a rock show trying to save their friends. And I realized that could have been our band or any of our friends' bands, and the whole situation really hit me hard."
"Circles" is currently in regular rotation on 21 alternative and active rock radio stations across the country, including 91X, the influential alt/rock station in the band's hometown of San Diego, and Los Angeles powerhouse KROQ-FM where the song has been #1 on the program "Furious 5 @9." The song and an interview with the band will be featured on the nationally-syndicated radio program "Out of Order" this weekend.
Pierce the Veil will perform "Circles" on "Conan" next Monday, June 27 (TBS, 11PM/10PM Central). The band is currently in the home stretch of their sold-out U.S. concert tour where they are playing Misadventures live, start to finish. Upcoming dates are below.
