Corgan announced Ogilala last month and shared its striking first track "Aeronaut", which is available now
HERE and in all DSPs. Produced by Rick Rubin and recorded at Shangri La studios in Malibu, Ogilala presents Corgan's distinctive vocals and melodies across a sparse, but rich palette of acoustic guitar, piano, and strings.

The media was quick to praise the sound of "Aeronaut", hailing, "The song itself is unfussy and intimate and, more importantly, Corgan owns the performance with his inimitable voice that few in the '90s would have figured for a romantic lead" (NPR), "'Aeronaut' is stately and bare: an unhurried piano riff outlines both beat and melody, while glinting strings occasionally rise to meet the keening, nasal lead vocal from Corgan" (Rolling Stone), "['Aeronaut'] is dominated by dramatic strings, piano, and, of course, his unmistakable vocals-which still sound pretty great" (Noisey).

Ogilala will be available digitally as well as physically on CD and 180 gram gatefold vinyl. A limited edition opaque blue vinyl will be available directly from Corgan's web store and a limited edition pink vinyl will be available at select indie retailers. The album is available for pre-order now
HERE. Fans who pre-order the album will receive an immediate download of "Aeronaut".
Next month, Corgan will embark on a solo acoustic North American tour that kicks off on October 14th in Brooklyn, NY and wraps up on November 12th in Los Angeles, CA with a four night stint at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. These intimate performances will see Corgan perform songs from Ogilala, as well as a second set which will span works from his earliest days through his years as the frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins and beyond. ANNOUNCE UPCOMING FALL TOUR

APPICE announce Select US Dates
First Studio Album From The Two Legendary Drum Brothers Together "Sinister" Out October 27th via SPV/Steamhammer

HAMMERFALL Announces 2018 North American Tour

Legendary drummers and brothers Vinny and Carmine Appice have teamed up for a new project called Appice.  They are set to release their debut album "Sinister" via SPV/Steamhammer October 27th.  Before they do however, they have announced three special live shows where the brothers will perform "Sinister" together.  The three dates include appearances in New York City, Derry, New Hampshire and Los Vegas.  Tickets for all 3 shows are available now.  Both brothers will be available for interviews at the shows and at the Las Vegas show; you can be a part of history, as Appice will shoot a video for their song "Monsters and Heroes."

Appice Live:
9/22: New York, NY @ Cutting Room
9/23: Derry, NH @ Tupelo Music Hall
9/29: Las Vegas, NV @ Vampd

You're unlikely to find a phenomenon like Carmine and Vinny Appice a second time in the history of rock music. For more than forty years, the two brothers have been among the most sought-after and renowned rock drummers worldwide. Carmine and Vinny (each of them on their own) can be heard on numerous legendary albums and have toured countless times with some of the world's greatest acts. Carmine embarked on his musical path in the 1960s with the unforgotten Vanilla Fudge, manning in the course of his illustrious career the drums for superstars such as Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, among others. His brother Vinny, who is eleven years his junior, looks back on an equally spectacular career, having worked with acts such as Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and Dio, among others. With the exception of the live album Drum Wars - Live! (2014), there has been no direct collaboration between the two so far.  That's about to change! Sinister is the first joint studio album by Carmine and Vinny and was recorded with the support of a number of prestigious guests. Vinny: "As Ringo said: with a little help from our friends."

"Sinister" will be released on October 27th, 2017 through SPV/Steamhammer as CD digipak, double gatefold vinyl, download and stream.  Pre-order the album
HERE.

Sinister consists of a total of 13 tracks, recorded by Carmine and Vinny together with distinguished colleagues. ´Killing Floor` and ´Future Past` feature the wonderful Craig Goldy (together with bassist Tony Franklin), Franklin resurfacing, together with Paul Shortino, on ´Suddenly` and on ´You Got Me Running`. Shortino also lends his awesome vocals to ´War Cry` and the programmatic ´Monsters And Heroes`, the latter also featuring Bulletboys guitarist Mick Sweda, while Shortino teams up with Whitesnake stringsman Joel Hoekstra on ´War Cry`. Talking of vocals: ´Sinister`, ´Danger` (bass: Phil Soussan), ´In The Night` (guitar: Bumblefoot) and ´Sabbath Mash` (guitar: Erik Turner, keyboards: Erik Norlander) are all sung by Jim Crean, while Chas West recorded the vocal parts for ´Killing Floor`, Scotty Bruce featuring on ´Future Past` and Robin McAuley on ´Riot`. The biggest surprise of all: Carmine himself doubles as vocalist on ´You Got Me Running`. Vinny: "Carmine has been singing lead and background for years. He´s a very good singer and I´m glad he sang one number on this record."

SONS OF TEXAS DEBUT NEW SONG "DOWN IN THE TRENCHES" VIA A UNIQUE PROMOTION WITH THE STATE OF TEXAS AND ALTERNATIVE PRESS

NEW ALBUM FORGED BY FORTITUDE OUT SEPTEMBER 22

GRAMMY® Award winning, acclaimed singer-songwriter and Smashing Pumpkins frontman, William Patrick Corgan today announced Pillbox, a silent film set to music from his highly-anticipated forthcoming Rick Rubin produced solo album Ogilala, due out October 13, 2017 via BMG. Corgan today also shared the film's official trailer which can be seen HERE.

"I thought it was a different approach to listening to an album, to watch it in essence with a related, albeit non-linear, silent movie. Art is art. And together the two pieces create a work unto itself," shared Corgan on the film's connection to his new album.

On October 20th, GWAR will release a new studio album entitled "The Blood of Gods" via Metal Blade Records.  In support of the new album, your Lords and Masters will leave their arctic slumber and return to the road to cause aural (and anal) devastation across North America.  Joining in the chaos will be Ghoul, Doyle (10/20-11/5), He Is Legend (11/7-12/10) and U.S. Bastards.  The tour kicks off in Richmond, VA on October 20th and runs through December 10th in Detroit, MI.  The tour includes a stop in New York City on Halloween as well!  A complete list of dates can be found below.

The Berserker Blothar had this to say about the upcoming tour:
"Humans, we are coming to tear your world apart with a live performance the likes of which has never been seen on this or any other planet! This album, "The Blood of Gods," is the greatest thing since French toast.  Just hearing these songs performed will result in an instant paroxysm of weeping, gnashing of teeth, and the uncontrollable voiding of your filthy bowels. Now, we are taking the whole bloody shit show on the road, with the most spectacular, blood-drenched, gruesome, and terrifying rock concert of all time. Don't miss your chance to sacrifice yourself to GWAR at a venue near you!"

Bohabs! Be the coolest corpse in the pile! Don't miss your chance to pledge your allegiance to GWAR each night when they rape and pillage your town. Head to
https://www.gwarvip.com to take part in "The Lords and Masters VIP Experience".

General admission tickets and VIP Packages go on sale to the public this Friday August 18th at 10:00 AM Eastern.
The Lords and Masters VIP Experience Includes:
*One (1) General Admission Ticket with Venue Early Entry (potentially guest list)
*Exclusive access to GWAR soundcheck where you will pledge allegiance to your Lords & Masters!
*Invitation to play a GWAR instrument onstage at soundcheck
*Tour of the weapons of your Lords & Masters
*Crowd Free Merch Access
*One (1) Souvenir item signed by members of GWAR
*One (1)  Souvenir GWAR laminate
*Photo opportunity with GWAR before the show
*You will be killed by GWAR on stage during the show.
*Designated Slave Pit Area to pledge your allegiance before you are killed on stage by GWAR!
There are only 5 VIP TICKETS available per show, that's it so don't wait.

Concerning the album;  "The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry. Meanwhile, Sleazy P. Martini, the crooked entrepreneur who discovered the Scumdogs, and has always envisioned them as a sort of horrific boy band, finally managed to convince the group to write a hit song called "I'll Be Your Monster." If all goes according to plan, it may be just stupid enough to work!
GWAR LIVES MOTHERFUCKERS!

Individuals unite for one night only at a place near you, and then disperse like wildfire to dry pages. Bring it on, sisters and brothers. SUPERJOINT continues to tour in support of their Caught Up In The Gears Of Application full-length. The record serves as SUPERJOINT's first proper studio offering in over a decade. Recorded at the famed Nodferatu's Lair, produced by SUPERJOINT co-founder Philip H. Anselmo (Down, Pantera, Scour, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Arson Anthem etc.) and Stephen Berrigan (Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Eyehategod, Haarp, Classhole, etc.), and mastered by Scott Hull (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer) at Visceral Sounds, the thirty-eight-minute bruiser spews forth an unapologetic crossover of hardcore punk, metal, and uncompromising, antagonistic, New Orleans-style angst.

Various order bundles, including limited edition vinyl options and authentic woodwork from their "Caught Up In The Gears Of Application" video are available via Housecore at
THIS LOCATION. For digital orders, point your browser HERE where you can also stream the record in full.

SUPERJOINT was resurrected in 2015 after the original band broke up a decade earlier. At the behest of the late Corey Mitchell, co-founder of The Housecore Horror Film Festival, SUPERJOINT founders Anselmo, Jimmy Bower (Down, Eyehategod), and Kevin Bond (Christ Inversion, Artimus Pyledriver et al) joined forces with longtime comrades, drummer José "Blue" Gonzalez (Warbeast, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals), and bassist Stephen Taylor (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Woven Hand, 16 Horse Power). A new era of the band was born. After just two tours, new material followed culminating in the scathing sounds of Caught Up In The Gears Of Application.

"[Philip H. Anselmo's] tenacity seems undeniable, and that spirit shines through Caught Up In The Gears Of Application from beginning to end." -- Blabbermouth

"...a raw exercise in riffing devastation and swirling, erratic tempo shifts..." -- Loudwire

"This is gnarly and nasty... the music is as potent as ever. A storming return." -- The Sludgelord

"SUPERJOINT's music is like a poison that you want to keep drinking, a spirit that doesn't age, and never heals - but it'll kill time. There is creative genius in these guys." -- New Noise Magazine

"The volatile, acidic savagery that the band is known for is just as present now as it was before they went on hiatus over a decade ago...." -- Metal Nexus

"...a great mix of southern rock and hardcore punk... if Down ever got really angry and decided to knock out a punk record, this is what I imagine it would sound like." - Metal Injection on the title track

In just a few short weeks,Australian grind machine KING PARROT will unleash the maniacal fruit of their Ugly Produce full-length. Slated for release on September 22nd in North America via Housecore Records, in Europe via Agonia Records, and in Australia via EVP Recordings, Ugly Produce is a ten-track feast of distinctively punishing and powerful anthems. Recorded at the infamous Goatsound Studios in Melbourne, Australia and produced by Blood Duster's Jason Fuller, this is no walk in the park on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Ugly Produce is a twisted, cantankerous ride through an outback graveyard, high on PCP, wreaking of animal feculence.

As a precursor to its release, the band is currently streaming latest single "Disgrace Yourself" at
THIS LOCATION.

Vocalist Matt Young notes the lyrics, "bellow at people desperate for stardom and the lengths they'll go to be recognized. The whole culture of TV, X-Factor, American Idol bullshit has had a big hand in the way the music industry is run these days, and it has seeped right into the metal world. This song is a big fuck you to that whole ideology that needs to be dead and buried."

And if you missed it, feast yours eyes on KING PARROT's video single for "Ten Pounds Of Shit In A Five Pound Bag" as well as "Die Before You Die," initially premieres by Decibel Magazine,
RIGHT HERE.

Ugly Produce will see release on CD, digital, and vinyl formats. Preorders are currently available at the official KING PARROT website
HERE. Digital preorders - which come with an instant download of "Ten Pounds Of Shit In A Five Pound Bag" - are available via Apple Music HERE and iTunes HERE.

Ugly Produce fuses the raw fury of the KING PARROT's critically-lauded debut album Bite Your Head Off and mashes it with the twisted sophistication of their ARIA-nominated follow-up Dead Set. A repugnant harvest of gnarled and nasty grind, death metal, thrash, and punk rock, the band's unique, over-the-top sound is ever prevalent and honed further on Ugly Produce while remaining true to the fundamental ideals the band started with: angst, aggression, absurdity, and antics.

In conjunction with the release of Ugly Produce, KING PARROT will return to the US supporting Housecore labelmates Superjoint along with DevilDriver. Additional support will be provided by Cane Hill and Child Bite (also on Housecore Records). The tour will run from September 23rd to October 20th
with KING PARROT performing through October 14th. See confirmed dates below.

BMG will be reissuing the solo catalogue on vinyl from IRON MAIDEN frontman and rock legend, Bruce Dickinson worldwide on October 27, 2017.

Bruce Dickinson’s six solo albums span from 1990 to 2005 and have been cut from the original masters for reissue on heavyweight, black 180g vinyl in artworked sleeves. Two of the titles The Chemical Wedding and Tyranny Of Souls are being made available for the first time ever on vinyl. The four previously available: Tattooed Millionaire, Balls To Picasso, Skunkworks and Accident Of Birth have been long out of print, with the latter two titles now expanded to double LPs for optimum sound.

As a special bonus to fans, all six albums will also be available in a limited edition Soloworks box, a must have for any collector.

From the stripped down, hard rock of Bruce’s debut solo album Tattooed Millionaire (1990) and it’s heavier successor Balls To Picasso (1994), through the cutting edge alt-rock of  Skunkworks (1996) and the heavy metal celebration of Accident Of Birth (1997) to the modern metal with a traditional heart of The Chemical Wedding (1998) and final solo foray, Tyranny Of Souls (2005), these six albums are an essential part of Bruce’s story outside of Maiden and, more importantly, some of the most vital and absorbing metal albums of the last three decades. Revisit them now at maximum volume.

Pre-order exclusively from
http://brucedickinsonsoloworks.com/ now.  All fans who purchase the complete Soloworks box here will receive a double-sided 24” x 36” Bruce Dickinson poster.

"The track shows Phil's versatility, and perhaps some of his best screams in years; a total rip fest." -- John Jarvis, SCOUR

Stream / Share SCOUR's "Red"
RIGHT HERE.

An extreme metal supergroup with a pedigree covered in viscera, SCOUR is the brainchild of Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down), John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), Chase Fraser (Animosity, Decrepit Birth), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index). Forged in 2015, the band's punishing mix of black metal, grindcore, and thrash made its debut with the ferocious single "Dispatched." The band's debut EP, Grey, was released the following year via Anselmo's own Housecore label. Just before a crushing performance at Hellfest Open Air, which featured a cover of the Pantera classic "Strength Beyond Strength," the band recorded their Red EP at Nodferatu's Lair with Steve Berrigan (Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Eyehategod, Haarp, Classhole, etc.) at the helm. The record was once again mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Cattle Decapitation, Cobalt, Khemmis) at Flatline Audio.

In advance of the EP's release, today Decibel Magazine is offering up an exclusive premiere of the opening title track. Notes Engemann, "SCOUR returns with a vengeance with the title track, 'Red.' Blasting right out the gate, 'Red' steps up the intensity, while retaining that relentlessly haunting SCOUR sound." Adds John Jarvis, "I think the track shows Phil's versatility, and perhaps some of his best screams in years; a total rip fest."

DEY STREET BOOKS TO PUBLISH ROCK LEGEND,
IRON MAIDEN’S BRUCE DICKINSON THIS AUTUMN

Australia's unhinged extreme metal villains KING PARROT return with their third and finest long player to date in the form of Ugly Produce.

Set for release in North America on September 22nd via Housecore Records, Ugly Produce is a ten-track feast of distinctively punishing and powerful anthems.

Ugly Produce mixes the raw fury of debut album Bite Your Head Off and mashes it with the twisted sophistication of their ARIA-nominated follow-up Dead Set. "Ugly Produce reaches new heights in abrasive songwriting and serves up an odious pile of repulsive flavors you wouldn't want to find on your local fruit and vegetable shelves," issues vocalist Matt "Youngy" Young. "It's a repugnant harvest of gnarled and nasty grind, death metal, thrash, and punk rock and it's more caustic than ever."

Never the band to shy away from their roots and the scene that gave birth to them, KING PARROT is forever on a mission to take this depraved, insidious wrecking machine to audiences around the globe. Their unique, over-the-top sound is ever prevalent and honed further on Ugly Produce while remaining true to the fundamental ideals the band started with: angst, aggression, absurdity, and antics.

In conjunction with the release of Ugly Produce, KING PARROT will return to the US supporting Housecore labelmates Superjoint along with DevilDriver. Additional support will be provided by Cane Hill and Child Bite (also on Housecore Records). The tour will run from September 23rd to October 20th with KING PARROT performing through October 14th. KING PARROT has evolved into a fully-fledged touring and creative force barely stopping for a breath since their inception on the international metal scene in 2013. Following tour after tour with the likes of Soulfly, Obituary, Down, Cattle Decapitation, Exodus, Superjoint, Voivod, and their own headlining tours in Australia, KING PARROT has become hardened road warriors possessing a rare and deep hunger for the raucous and off-the-wall live shows they've become revered for. These outings fuel the creative drive within the band to compose only the most angst-driven and vile expressions to ensure maximum involvement from audiences that lap up every frantic beat, chainsaw riff, and psychotic scream. Ugly Produce is a testament to the blood, sweat, and tears poured into everything KING PARROT does.

Swedish melodic Death Metal pioneers AT THE GATES are in the final stages of preparation for their upcoming new album, following up 2014’s acclaimed comeback release, “At War With Reality”.

After the departure announcement of founding guitarist Anders Björler in March, the group is now not only ready to give a comprehensive update on the new album’s status, but they can also announce the newest addition to their line-up ranks...

AT THE GATES are back!

“We have finally decided on a new guitar player, and we are ready to rip again! Actually he was our first choice, and we are happy to have him on board. Jonas Stålhammar has been a friend since the late eighties (Tomas used to tape trade with him back then!), and our paths have crossed many times during our careers.

We were looking for someone who had the same reference points as we do, someone from the same path, so to say, who understand the greatness of both Autopsy and King Crimson. Of course it was essential that our new member could fill the shoes of Anders' performance-wise as well, but that was never an issue with Jonas. We were looking for someone with a deep understanding of what AT THE GATES are about, someone who could contribute creatively to the band.

Jonas Stålhammar will be a full member from day one, and will play on the upcoming full length album, scheduled for recording in November 2017 – January 2018.

We currently have 11 songs ready for said album, and are more inspired than perhaps ever before. You can expect a full-on AT THE GATES record with all the classic elements of the band. It is by far the most comprehensive album of the band to date, and will span all the way across the different elements of the band's sound.

We are super-excited for 2018. It will be a good year for AT THE GATES, and our fans, for sure.”

Concerning the album;  "The Blood of Gods" chronicles the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry!

With eight studio albums under their belt, Massachusetts-based hard rock juggernauts All That Remains show no signs of slowing down. Their album Madness dropped on April 28th via Razor & Tie Records to an overwhelmingly positive response hitting #1 US Top Hard Rock Albums and #9 US Top Rock Albums charts. The band has already toured heavily in support of the project, hitting major summer festivals like Carolina Rebellion and Montebello Rockfest, among others. They also hit the road on a headlining run, catching up with a few friends including Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, and Motionless in White. The band still has a few announced performance dates left and will continue touring throughout the remainder of 2017, look for new tour info coming soon.

In the meantime they're keeping things moving, today All That Remains has given new life to an unexpected cover of Garth Brooks hit single "Thunder Rolls." Their take on the Country star's award-winning tune, (one of singer Phil Labonte's favorites) is compelling, reworking the song in an epic way and making it their own. In an interview with Billboard, Labonte discussed the unexpected cover choice, sharing, "We're continuing to push what people's notion of what All That Remains is and what we're allowed to do and what we're willing to do, in what ways we're willing to go and experiment... That's always our point -- How can we reach out to new people?"

'THE BEAUTIFUL DEATH TOUR' WITH SLAVES, OUT CAME THE WOLVES AND PICTURESQUE KICKS OFF TODAY

Today, SECRETS have released a brand new song and music video for their track, "Incredible". Fans can watch it now here:
https://youtu.be/ThQc7ANRJu0

The band recently announced their signing to Made In The Shade Records earlier this year. "Incredible" is the just first taste of new music from SECRETS.

On the new song the band says, "This is a relationship song. It's about self-improvement, but finding it through someone else. Like being stuck in a hole (bad relationship) and thinking that's just the way it's supposed to be until you finally get out and find someone that you truly love and you realize that you've been just getting by mistaking comfort for love. It's also about how hard and long it takes to get out"  The song was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, Issues, Dance Gavin Dance, etc.)

"Incredible" is available to purchase and stream on

New York City-based experimental/noise metal outfit GNAW has completed the harrowing third album, Cutting Pieces, securing the record for late October release through Translation Loss Records. The LP's "Septic" is now playing at Decibel Magazine as the label issues preorders and more.

Closing a four-year gap since their acclaimed Horrible Chamber LP (Seventh Rule, 2013), GNAW crawls forth from the gutters once again, dredging forth some of their most unnerving audio assaults to date on Cutting Pieces. The seismic atrocities and haunting intricacies on Cutting Pieces leave an instantly damaging, long-lasting impression, their cumulative decimation undoubtedly producing GNAW's most cinematic terror to date.

Decibel unleashes the first single from Cutting Pieces, through an exclusive stream of "Septic," featuring background vocals courtesy of Stefania Alos Pedretti of OvO. GNAW issues of the track, "'Septic' is one of the faster tunes on the album. The guitars sound like razors and the ending is utterly creepy. We're honored to have Stefania from OvO on it thickening up the chorus with her unique cave-woman like voice."

Notes Decibel Magazine's write-up of the song includes, "vocalist Alan Dubin's harrowing shrieks and disturbed whispers serve as the narration to six minutes of noise, razor-sharp guitar assaults and other sounds created by GNAW's diverse repertoire of devices."

Stream GNAW's "Septic" at Decibel
RIGHT HERE.

Translation Loss will release Cutting Pieces on LP, CD, and digital formats on October 27th; find preorders at
THIS LOCATION.

Watch for additional audio samples including multiple videos and more on Cutting Pieces to be issued up to and through the album's release.

A recent personnel shift sees the GNAW lineup now including Dana Schechter (Insect Ark, ex-Angels Of Light) on lap steel guitar, joining returning assassins, Alan Dubin (Khanate, OLD), Brian Beatrice, Carter Thornton (Enos Slaughter), Eric Neuser, and Jun Mizumachi (Ike Yard). Cutting Pieces was written and recorded over the past two years at various studios and locales across NYC, the bulk of the music was written by Thornton, Beatrice, and Dubin with all members creating sound elements and arrangements, the final record mixed by Beatrice. Coalescing with Dubin's twisted lyrical visions, these factors culminate into the outfit's most terrifying movielike torment and tension yet. The album was once again mastered by James Plotkin. The graphic and type design for the cover was done by French designer Sebastien Hayez who did the first two GNAW albums as well.

Collectively, GNAW utilized an extensive arsenal of instruments on Cutting Pieces, including guitars, bass, drums, voice, lap steel guitar, Chinese cello, Weevil, conga, sawed off Kramer, Drone Thing oscillator, Alto sax, homemade light oscillator, micro cassette recorder, chain link fence, a small child, 2002 Toshiba laptop, voice dictator and space bar, and more. Cutting Pieces also features guest musicians Stefania Alos Pedretti of Italian noise rock act OvO contributing background vocals to the track "Septic," and Swiss saxophone player and sound artist Antoine Chessex (ex-Monno) contributing saxophone and amplifier to "Triptych."

Cutting Pieces Track Listing:
1. Rat
2. Septic
3. Wrong
4. Prowled Mary
5. Extended Suicide
6. Fire
7. Triptych

With more widespread tour plans coming together for later this year and next, GNAW has booked several upcoming NYC-area shows, including the Nightside Of Eden Fest at The Paper Box in Brooklyn on October 7th alongside Acheron, Kult Ov Azazel, Sardonic Witchery, T.O.M.B., Abazagorath, Teloch Vovin, and more. GNAW will also play a record release show for Cutting Pieces at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn on October 29th, joined by Couch Slut, Syndromes, and more.

GNAW Live:
10/07/2017 The Paper Box - Brooklyn, NY @ Nightside Of Eden Fest w/ Kult Ov Azazel, T.O.M.B.
10/29/2017 Saint Vitus Bar - Brooklyn, NY *record release show w/ Couch Slut, Syndromes

GNAW is a New York City genre smashing/noise/metal/doom band created by Alan Dubin after the dissolution of Khanate. In addition to the traditional four-piece rock format and string and wind instruments, GNAW utilizes found sound, homemade instruments, tweaked oscillators, synthesis, and manipulated recordings. The Wire magazine called the band, "a terrifying rock sextet whose blackened vision has enough dark energy to blot out the sun," and described GNAW's debut album, This Face, to be, "unsettling but vital listening." Of their sophomore album, Horrible Chamber,Cvlt Nation claims, "Few bands have managed to pull off such a seamless and triumphant splicing of doom metal, noise and industrial as GNAW have managed to do with this album, and in this extremely unique, surreal and particular world the band dwells in, Horrible Chamber represents hands down industrial doom's finest hour of 2013."

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has been diligently working on their follow-up to 2014's IX offering. Helmed by longtime producer John Custer, who's recorded such prior COC classics as Deliverance, Wiseblood, America's Volume Dealer, and In The Arms Of God, the record will mark the band's studio reunion with vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan and their first full-length record together since 2005.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY emerged from hibernation as a trio and released 2012's self-titled album and 2014's IX to wide acclaim, but many fans have been eagerly and patiently awaiting the return of Pepper Keenan. The band was originally an influential hardcore punk/heavy metal crossover act before reaching critical success with a then new lineup on 1991's Blind album. That trajectory continued with wider appeal as Keenan took over as the group's primary vocalist on Deliverance (1994) and Wiseblood (1996). These two recordings in particular fused the raw energy of their previous albums, with some great strides forward in classic rock inspired songwriting and more spacious production and execution. Since then the band has often been copied but rarely equaled. This juggernaut gained mass and momentum with relentless touring alongside such greats Metallica, Clutch, Eyehategod, and many more. Eventually, following the release of In the Arms Of God in 2005, Keenan decided to focus all his energy on his hometown band Down...until now.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY is:
Pepper Keenan - vocals, guitar
Woodroe Weatherman - guitar
Mike Dean - bass, vocals
Reed Mullin - drums, vocals

Emmer Effer is set to release their debut full-length album, From The Bottom Down, via Felony Records on October 6.

Check out an album teaser video here:
https://youtu.be/gURepTz4OVw. Pre-orders will launch next week.

A music video for the track "Two Timer" can be viewed here:
https://youtu.be/JSLqyKVyW2E.

On September 3rd the band will be playing a show with several other Felony Records bands at Programme Skate and Sound (2495 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton, California 92831) in Fullerton, CA. The set will be filmed for an upcoming video.

Emmer Effer is a four-piece punk band from Los Angeles, California. Three members of the band were raised on South Bay punk rock, while Jake the drummer was raised on the punk sounds of the Pacific Northwest. This meshing of styles has resulted in a straight forward punk sound that is fast and to the point. Most songs are purposely kept under two minutes and guitar solos will not be found.

Founded in 2012, the band released their first EP, Dead Men Tell No Lies, digitally on their own Emmer Effer Records in 2013. In 2016, Felony Records signed the band and released an EP on vinyl called The People Are The Answer.

Emmer Effer headed back to Screaming Leopard Studios in Hermosa Beach in early 2017 to record their first full length with Ian Peterson, who has previously worked with Pennywise and Chaos Delivery Machine. The band spent a total of four days in the studio recording 19 songs.

The songs on the album harken back to that mid-90s South Bay sound reminiscent of 98 Mute and Pennywise. Lyrically, Emmer Effer's are a glimpse into the everyday realities that many people go through, such as death, drugs, love, politics, and friendship.

Dani’s crew have meticulously pieced together a second blood-spattered batch of deranged anthems that brings vastly more colour, intensity and lyrical versatility to this band’s spectral palate. The second DEVILMENT record makes no splintered bones about its nefarious intent, offering a bewildering torrent of disparate and demented ideas and delivering them with refined, ultra-gothic panache and several jolting doses of Dani’s trademark verbal subterfuge. Assisted by long-time collaborators Lauren Francis (keys and vocals), Colin Parks (guitar), Nick Johnson (bass) and new drummer Matt Alston, Dani has arrived at the telling moment where DEVILMENT become a genuine force to be reckoned with.

CLUTCH ANNOUNCE WINTER PSYCHIC WARFARE TOUR DATES WITH DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT & THE OBSESSED

As 2017 comes to a close, we are quickly approaching 10 years as a band. As a thank you to everyone for being there for us all these years we wanted to launch a very special line of merchandise items. We were waiting to launch these items closer to our anniversary, however due to recent events, we’re now finding ourselves about to celebrate 10 years with one of the worst things that has happened to our band in its career.  On Sunday night while on tour in Milan Italy, 4 of us were awake, in the bus, in broad daylight when our trailer and its entire contents were stolen in less than 60 seconds. We were as careful as possible to avoid anything like this happening but in a matter of seconds practically everything we had with us was gone. We contacted the police but with incidents like this on the rise we were given very little hope of the trailer being recovered.

For the first time in our lives we fund ourselves unsure of how to carry on as a band. We could have given up but we chose to continue our European tour, to play shows on borrowed gear doing everything in our power to play the best Miss May I shows for you guys. We are completing this Europe run by any means necessary but are at a loss for what to do when we return home. The loss of our personal gear as well as the expense of replacement costs on rented gear is financially devastating. We’re asking everyone that has been with us all these years to help us keep going by being part of this pledge campaign. All profits from these items will go towards our expenses from this loss. We were avoiding having to ask for help like this but with our insurance coverage not fully extending overseas our options are limited. Each purchase made will include a signed unique postcard from us as a small token of our thanks to you for contributing.

Last week saw the announcement of SONS OF APOLLO, the highly anticipated new band featuring former Dream Theater members Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force).  Their debut album, PSYCHOTIC SYMPHONY, is due for release on October 20 via InsideOutMusic / Sony, and now they are pleased to reveal their first track titled “Signs of the Time.” Listen now here: https://youtu.be/TLVWkqnN3Ck

Mike comments: "’Signs Of The Time’ was the very first thing myself, Derek & Bumblefoot wrote when we got together to begin writing for SONS OF APOLLO in March of this year.

‘It starts with this heavy, brutal Bumbleriff (initially coined ‘Korntera’), then goes into a cool verse with a two-part vocal melody that I wrote sung by Jeff and myself, which eventually opens up to a HUGE vocal hook in the chorus that Jeff wrote (sung in three-part harmony by Jeff, myself and Bumblefoot).

“The middle section riffs are a few things that Derek brought in and show why he is the most BADASS keyboard player in the biz (playing the keys like a guitar player on fire!) and then we have the long extended breakdown and guitar solo which shows why Bumblefoot is one of today's greatest GUITAR HEROES! This album is going to get him the recognition he truly deserves and this particular guitar solo is one of the tastiest, most insane solos I've EVER heard.

“So all in all, this song has a little bit of everything that makes SONS OF APOLLO so special...great heavy riffs, amazing solos with individual instrumental virtuosity and a big, catchy chorus with more hooks than a tackle box!!

“I figured this would be a great ‘first taste’ to introduce the world to this amazing new supergroup...and there's a whole lot more of different musical styles and twist & turns still to come all throughout the album."

The debut album, PSYCHOTIC SYMPHONY, is now available to pre-order on 2CD Mediabook (featuring a second disc of instrumental mixes), Gatefold 2LP vinyl + CD, Standard Jewelcase CD & digital download. Pre-order now here:

GHOUL continues to tour in support of their delightfully deviant Dungeon Bastards studio offering. Released via Tankcrimes in July 2016, the record consumed Billboard Charts upon its first week of release debuting at #11 on the Heatseekers Chart, #13 on the Top Vinyl Albums Chart, #13 on the Hard Rock Chart, and #27 on the Independent Albums Chart. The band also earned prime spots on year end lists globally including the #19 position of Decibel's Top 40 Albums Of  2016, the revered rag issuing of the album, "For those who lived through Nancy and Ronald, S.O.D. and D.R.I. GHOUL's sound is like finding a shoebox of discontinued candy, all of it fresh to eat. That said, the gonzo midnight movie vibe and cartoonish energy on Dungeon Bastards perfectly articulates the apocalyptic anxiety that we're all sharing in 2016."

Dungeon Bastards was captured and mixed by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) at Antisleep Studios in Oakland, mastered by Dan Randall (Impaled, Annihilation Time, Fucked Up, Necrot) at Mammoth Sound in San Francisco, and wields eleven hemorrhage-inducing tracks of the band's now-patented Creepsylvanian splatterthrash.

Dungeon Bastards is out now on CD and digital formats as well as slime green and blood red vinyl with a gatefold jacket that opens into the Dungeon Bastards board game. "...the gonzo midnight movie vibe and cartoonish energy on Dungeon Bastards perfectly articulates the apocalyptic anxiety that we're all sharing in 2016." - Decibel

"Dungeon Bastards isn't just GHOUL's finest album to date - it's one of 2016's strongest albums to date, a pipe bomb hybrid of thrash, death metal, and hardcore that is effortlessly aggro and fun. Dungeon Bastards is the kind of record that will have you looking cockeyed at anyone who claims not to like it." - MetalSucks

"Infused with the savage technicality of thrash behemoths and legendary crossover beasts such as Blind Illusion and Attitude, the energy and power of early Death and Sodom and the morbid humours of GWAR, GHOUL's lifelong mission has taken another crucial step toward world domination. Thrashing time is here." - Mass Movement

"The production here is crisp and choppy and adds to the fun of this release... add in the sing-a-long choruses and you have a pretty beaking cool release. 7 Fucking Pecks" - Decibel's For Those About To Squawk column

"...the best thing GHOUL has put out to date." - Ave Noctum

BRUCE DICKINSON – SOLOWORKS: THE VINYL COLLECTION
BMG PROUDLY REISSUE ROCK LEGEND, BRUCE DICKINSON’S
SOLO CATALOG ON VINYL AND AS A BOX SET THIS AUTUMN

TATTOOED MILLIONAIRE/BALLS TO PICASSO/SKUNKWORKS/ACCIDENT OF BIRTH/THE CHEMICAL WEDDING/TYRANNY OF SOULS

This Autumn Dey Street Books is publishing What Does This Button Do?, the hugely anticipated memoir from Iron Maiden frontman and rock legend, Bruce Dickinson.

Heavy metal pioneers since their formation in 1975, Iron Maiden have sold over 90 million albums and played over 2000 shows in 63 countries, making them one of the most successful and globally influential bands of all time.

One of the world’s most storied musicians, Bruce Dickinson has been the band’s internationally-acclaimed lead singer for more than 30 years, and quite aside from the decades spent delivering high-octane performances with his larger-than-life persona, Bruce has lived an extraordinary off-stage existence too.

A true polymath, Bruce is, or has been, an airline pilot and captain, an aviation entrepreneur, a beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist, radio presenter, TV actor and a world-class fencer.

Over the last couple of years, and throughout Iron Maiden’s The Book Of Souls World Tour, which has covered 39 countries and 117 shows since February 2016, Bruce has turned his unbridled creativity to writing his memoirs, longhand (in seven A4 notebooks no less). In
What Does This Button Do?, Bruce (a man who famously  never gives interviews about his personal life) shares, for the first time, the most fascinating recollections, including his thirty years with Maiden, the early days, his childhood within the eccentric British school system, going solo, realizing his dream of flying jumbo jets and his recent battle with tongue cancer.

Bruce Dickinson is so much more than the frontman of one of the biggest bands on the planet. A rock icon, a true renaissance man, Bruce has been, and remains, a man of legend.

The U.S. publication on October 31st will be accompanied with a commensurate international book tour.

Los Angeles-based Hard Rock outfit GEMINI SYNDROME have announced their final tour before the group shifts focus towards the writing and recording of their third studio album (to be produced by Matt Hyde: Deftones, Slayer), which will conclude the three part trilogy started with 'Lux' and continued on their latest record, 'Memento Mori'. The upcoming "Brought To Light" tour will feature support from Deadset Society and Spoken, with Gemini Syndrome closing out each night as the headliner. In addition to their next headlining tour, the band will also play direct support to fellow label-mates Fozzy on the group's "Judas Rising" tour, which kicks off on September 26th in Clarksville, TN.

On the topic of their upcoming Fall touring, and beginning work on album #3, the band comments:
"The Oracle has foreseen that Gemini Syndrome will be sharing the stage with fellow conspirators, Fozzy, occurring in alignment with the Autumnal Equinox. This Fall Conversion will be the last tour of the year before we abscond to write and record our next album, closing the chapter of 'Memento Mori', and ushering in the 3rd and final act of the trilogy. We look forward to sharing this sacred rite with you."

Fans who catch Gemini Syndrome on any of their upcoming live dates will be in for a treat; as the band has welcomed on Meegs Rascón (ex-Coal Chamber) as their new guitarist. Speaking about the addition of Meegs to the band, Brian Medina (drums) shares, "We couldn't be more pleased to bring Meegs into the Gemini Syndrome Family. He is such a creative and innovative musician, and one of my most trusted and closest friends on this Earth. He's been here since the inception of Gemini Syndrome, and it's great to bring someone who is already family into the fold."

UNCURED released its first full-length record, Medusa, on March 10th, 2017. Metalsucks.net wrote that Medusa is "a synthesis of all manner of melodic, progressive, technical metal — Dream Theater, Opeth, etc — mixed with a groovy, almost tribal approach trafficked by ’90s stalwarts like Sepultura and Fear Factory. Have those two genres ever been mixed together before? Probably, somewhere. Have they ever been mixed together before with such finesse and originality? Certainly not."

Metal Injection states “UNCURED sounds a bit like old-school Dream Theater with some modern tricks thrown in, such as full-on breakdowns and smoking guitar acrobatics. This is band comprised of extremely talented and promising young musicians."

UNCURED recently concluded a 6-week tour across North America with Swedish metal giants Katatonia. UNCURED are quickly gaining a reputation among fans and critics for its aggressive, technical, yet highly diverse live performances.

Rather than meticulously plan things out or stick rigidly to any kind of template, when it comes to writing, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER prefers to let things happen organically. In the hands of guitarist Brian Eschbach, who cofounded the band with frontman Trevor Strnad in 2001, and new recruit Brandon Ellis (Arsis, ex-Cannabis Corpse), Nightbringers is rich with dynamic riffs that are at once fresh and classic THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, resulting in a collection that shifts through many moods and effortlessly incorporates various elements of extreme metal. While Strnad explores a variety of themes and ideas with his lyrics, they are united by the album's title, which embraces a tenet that has been central to THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER's output since the very beginning. "Death metal and nighttime are synonymous to me," Strnad explains. "We are the rulers of the darkened hours that the Christian good fears. A lot of archaic ideas that are still upheld - such as marriage and monogamy - came from Christianity, whether people want to acknowledge it or not, and to me, death metal has always been bucking that. It's 'being-the-villain music,' because we're the enemy of Christianity, the enemy of all that is good and traditional. Death metal is for free thinkers, it's for showing people the path to inner strength and operating on your own will, instead of being told what to do and living in fear, and songs like the title track and 'Kings Of The Nightworld' are about leading a legion of awakened minds into battle."

LIGHT THE TORCH is a burgeoning new force within the hard rock/metal community who just inked a new world-wide deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The group, formerly known as DEVIL YOU KNOW, features the iconic Howard Jones (ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) on vocals, Francesco Artusato (ex-ALL SHALL PERISH) on guitars and Ryan Wombacher (ex-BLEEDING THROUGH) on bass. The new full-length album is currently in the mixing stages and showcases the band in an all new light, as Jones delivers the most poignant performance of his storied career. With no more song-writing restrictions, the band are reaching greater heights trying out a plethora of new ideas, which you will all hear in the coming months.

LIGHT THE TORCH will absolutely continue to perform DEVIL YOU KNOW songs and as the band state below, the only way the group could legally continue to perform as band would be under this course of action.

LIGHT THE TORCH states: “After member issues and legalities continued for a year with no end in sight, we collectively felt it was time to put DYK to rest. Every effort was made to avoid this decision, but it needed/had to be done for the sake of moving forward. We will be forever grateful to those of you who shared that journey with us. With that said, we decided that this was a perfect time to write and record something truly different, something that reflected what we have been through and what we have become. Our new album is almost done being mixed, and there will be many more details coming in the following days and weeks. We are LIGHT THE TORCH. See you soon."

Unstoppable, Grammy-nominated hardcore juggernaut Hatebreed released their first full-length, the modern hardcore classic Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, back in November of 1997. The album set the tone for the type of moshable metal that would eventually go on to define the '00s.

2002's Perseverance was a perfectly executed, packed-with-anthems follow up that has become emblematic of the era. In fact, the album's iconic and lyrically uplifting track, "I Will Be Heard," has become the band's signature battle cry, securing its place as the quintessential, fist-in-the-air chant of the new millennium, thanks to a call-to-action that starts with "Now is the time for me to rise to my feet…"

In the 20 years since their definitive debut, Hatebreed have rightfully earned their status as hardcore legends. They've remained road warriors, touring constantly and reducing venues to pile of rubble and ash while sharing stages with everyone from Slipknot to Slayer and serving as one of the top-tier headliners on multiple festivals, from Ozzfest to Mayhem to Warped Tour.

The band will embark on a headline tour this fall, celebrating the 20 years of Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire and the 15 years of Perseverance by playing a majority of songs from both albums, along with other fan favorites from across the entire Hatebreed catalogue.

Support for the tour is confirmed and will be announced in early September.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, August 25. Tickets and VIP packages will be available
here.

Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta added, "Sometimes it's good to look back just to see how far you've come. There's about four-five songs off of Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire and about six or seven off of Perseverance that we rarely play, so we've hit the rehearsal room and dusted off a killer batch of songs and deep cuts that we'll blast your eardrums with this fall. Come celebrate not one but two anniversaries with us!"

2. Coming Home
3. Signs of the Time

9. Opus Maximus

An album teaser can be seen on InsideOutMusic’s YouTube page here:
https://youtu.be/kPN2DttzlZQ

PSYCHOTIC SYMPHONY was produced by the dynamic production duo of Portnoy and Sherinian, also affectionately known as “The Del Fuvio Brothers,” which is the nickname given to them over 20 years ago during their time together in Dream Theater.

SONS OF APOLLO got together very organically, as Portnoy explains: “Derek and I reunited shortly after I left Dream Theater in 2010 and we put together an all-instrumental touring band with he and I, Billy Sheehan, and Tony MacAlpine. That was my first time working with Derek since the ‘90s when he was in Dream Theater and it was just great to be working with him again. Ever since that tour, which was really just a one-off live thing, he has been nudging me to start a real, original, full-time band. The timing just had never been right, because I had too many other things on my plate. Long story short, the time was finally right to take the bait and put together a band.”

“Mike and I work at a relentless pace in the studio,” continues Sherinian. “The music is modern, but we have an old school soul. What is unique about SONS OF APOLLO is that we have true rock n’ roll swagger along with the virtuosity-- a lethal combination!”

But what to call the next great supergroup? “Derek was mainly the one behind the name,” says Portnoy. “I have a list that I keep on my phone of about a hundred different band names, which I constantly have to refer to every time I have a new band every year (laughs). So, I pulled up the list and Apollo was one of the names on the list. It was a word that both of us really liked. We started fiddling with different variations of the word. One of the original band names we were working with was Apollo Creed, the character from the ‘Rocky’ movies, but after lots of different discussions on different variations, Derek suggested SONS OF APOLLO and it seemed to stick. Apollo is the God of Music so with that in mind it seemed like a fitting name.”

Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian and Billy Sheehan previously toured together in 2012 and 2013 as PSMS (along with guitarist Tony MacAlpine), playing all instrumental versions from each of their previously recorded music. SONS OF APOLLO is the next logical progression by adding a vocalist and creating all-original material. The band incorporates the progressive style and individual technical prowess that Portnoy & Sherinian shared together in Dream Theater combined with the swagger and groove of Van Halen, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.

“I have known Mike and Derek for a long time, so when they came to me with Sons of Apollo, I jumped on this straight away,” says Thomas Waber, Label Manager/A&R International of InsideOutMusic. “However, the album they ended up recording exceeded my already high expectations by a long mile! We couldn’t be happier about it!”

SONS OF APOLLO will hit the road in 2018 for their first worldwide tour.

“This is a real band,” Portnoy declares. “This is going to pick up for me and Billy where The Winery Dogs left off, in terms of this being the next logical full-time thing for us. I’m not saying The Winery Dogs have broken up, because we haven’t, we’re just on a break. SONS OF APOLLO is absolutely going to be a full-time band and we plan on touring all over the world all throughout 2018 and, honestly, it is the priority for all five of us.”

Sherinian agrees, “We will go on a worldwide crusade in 2018 to bring SONS OF APOLLO to as many people as possible. Apollo was the God of Music, and we are his mighty offspring!”
