Los Angeles-based Hard Rock outfit GEMINI SYNDROME have announced their final tour before the group shifts focus towards the writing and recording of their third studio album (to be produced by Matt Hyde: Deftones, Slayer), which will conclude the three part trilogy started with 'Lux' and continued on their latest record, 'Memento Mori'. The upcoming "Brought To Light" tour will feature support from Deadset Society and Spoken, with Gemini Syndrome closing out each night as the headliner. In addition to their next headlining tour, the band will also play direct support to fellow label-mates Fozzy on the group's "Judas Rising" tour, which kicks off on September 26th in Clarksville, TN.

On the topic of their upcoming Fall touring, and beginning work on album #3, the band comments:
"The Oracle has foreseen that Gemini Syndrome will be sharing the stage with fellow conspirators, Fozzy, occurring in alignment with the Autumnal Equinox. This Fall Conversion will be the last tour of the year before we abscond to write and record our next album, closing the chapter of 'Memento Mori', and ushering in the 3rd and final act of the trilogy. We look forward to sharing this sacred rite with you."

Fans who catch Gemini Syndrome on any of their upcoming live dates will be in for a treat; as the band has welcomed on Meegs Rascón (ex-Coal Chamber) as their new guitarist. Speaking about the addition of Meegs to the band, Brian Medina (drums) shares, "We couldn't be more pleased to bring Meegs into the Gemini Syndrome Family. He is such a creative and innovative musician, and one of my most trusted and closest friends on this Earth. He's been here since the inception of Gemini Syndrome, and it's great to bring someone who is already family into the fold."

TONIY IOMMI of BLACK SABBATH accepts "The Courage Award"

                                at the LOUDWIRE MUSIC AWARDS.

Credit Kevin Wilson, 2017 Loudwire Music Awards.

As audiences caught their breath, it was time to hand out two more awards. After headlining the Loudwire Awards Kickoff Concert the night before, BEARTOOTH were the winners of the Breakthrough Band of the Year. Fans were able to register their support by streaming the band's music during the Loudwire Music Awards voting period through partner Apple Music. And following The Breakthrough Award, it was time to salute an artist who has long since established himself. TONY IOMMI of BLACK SABBATH accepted The Courage Award, as sponsored by Ultimate Classic Rock. IOMMI's own hand had also been cast prior to the ceremony to be the "Hand of Doom" trophy given out to each of the winners.

NOTHING MORE delivered one of the night's blistering performances with a rendition of "Go to War," which eventually segued into a bit of Skrillex's "First of the Year" while their scorpion-tailed drum contraption transformed onstage to give JONNY HAWKINS an elevated platform as he dished out whizzes and buzzes triggered by the handlebars of his metallic monstrosity. Taking a beat, NOTHING MORE then invited OF MICE AND MEN's AARON PAULEY to the stage as they performed a rousing tribute of AUDIOSLAVE's "Show Me How to Live" in honor of the late CHRIS CORNELL.

After the memorable performance, two legends got their due. First up came IRON MAIDEN's STEVE HARRIS, winner of the "Best Bassist" honor as presented by Indigo Hotels, with another metal legend, ROB HALFORD getting his due as the inaugural "Lemmy Lifetime Achievement Awards" winner. HALFORD paid homage to the man the award is named after, looking skyward and screaming "Lemmy." He then thanked the fans, adding "The fans are the lifeblood of what we do... We share so much together."

The wait is almost over, GWAR are set to release their latest opus "The Blood of Gods" tomorrow via Metal Blade Records.  Today they have teamed up with HowardStern.com, the online home of the Howard Stern Show for an exclusive premiere of their new video for "I'll Be Your Monster."  Get a first look at the video, directed by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye HERE.

GWAR are set to return to the The Howard Stern Wrap Up Show this Halloween, Tuesday October 31st.   The band is set to perform two songs including their new single "I'll Be Your Monster" and another special song. The show is hosted by Gary Dell'Abate and Jon Hein and airs at 11:00 AM EST on Howard 100 and Howard 101 on SiriusXM and repeats throughout the day.

"The Blood of Gods" is available for pre-order at
http://www.metalblade.com/gwar/.  Digital pre-orders come with instant downloads of "Fuck This Place,"El Presidente" and "I'll Be Your Monster."
GWAR are set to return to the long road behind tomorrow on "The Blood Of Gods Tour," which kicks off in Richmond, VA. The first leg of the tour features support from Ghoul, Doyle and U.S. Bastards, and the second leg of the tour will feature Ghoul, He Is Legend and U.S. Bastards.  The tour runs through December 10th in Detroit, MI.  A complete list of dates can be found below.

Don't miss out! GWAR's new album is being hailed by critics as the greatest sonic event since the Big Bang. "The Blood of Gods" chronicles the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry!

AT THE GATES Announce New Guitarist;
Band Release Update on New Studio Album & 2018 Tour Dates

PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS, led by the legendary long time MOTÖRHEAD guitarist, have announced the details for the band's upcoming debut album.

Their first full-length studio effort will be entitled The Age Of Absurdity and was recorded at Rockfield Studios and Longwave Studios in Wales and produced, engineered and mixed by Romesh Dodangoda and mastered at legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.

The album will feature 11 tracks + 1 bonus track (see track list below) and will be released on January 26, 2018 via Nuclear Blast. The album will be available in different formats, pre-orders will start soon.

The fitting cover art was created by Matt Riste and can be viewed below this message.

Commented Phil Campbell: "I am really excited for the fans to hear our debut record. Every part of the process was done in Wales, from the writing, to the recording and even the artwork! The album title The Age Of Absurdity was inspired by the crazy world we live in today. The world to me seems to be a bit of a theater show so the album artwork idea just seemed to fit so well with the whole concept and album title."

Added singer Neil Starr: "Writing and recording this album was a lot of fun. We got to record at Rockfield studios where so many great artists had been over the years, it really was inspirational. Hearing the blistering riffs that the Campbell family seem to churn out effortlessly made me ensure I pushed myself to the limits when writing the melodies and lyrics. It's an album that I, and the rest of the band, are very proud of and can't wait to share it with the world!"

SWEET & LYNCH featuring Michael Sweet (Stryper) and George Lynch (Lynch Mob, Dokken) New Album "Unified" Out Today Via Frontiers Music Srl

JOE PERRY--legendary guitarist, co-founding member, principal songwriter and co-producer of Aerosmith--is readying his new solo album SWEETZERLAND MANIFESTO for release on January 19, 2018.

Due out on his own Roman Records imprint (distributed worldwide by AMPED Distribution), SWEETZERLAND MANIFESTO marks JOE's sixth solo album and is comprised of 10 new tracks. They were all written or co-written by JOE (many with the album's guest vocalists), except for a cover of "Eve Of Destruction" with JOE on lead vocals and Johnny Depp on drums. The album features guest appearances from a long list of JOE's friends, colleagues and rock and roll icons.  Highlights include "Aye, Aye, Aye," which JOE co-wrote with the track's vocalist Robin Zander, and three collaborations with David Johansen, who sings "I Wanna Roll," "Haberdasher Blues," and "I'm Going Crazy," plus as many co-writes with Terry Reid whose lead vocals light up "I'll Do Happiness," (with Zak Starkey on drums), "Sick & Tired" and "Won't Let Me Go."

SWEETZERLAND MANIFESTO was recorded at Studio 1480 in Los Angeles and produced by JOE PERRY and Bruce Witkin, with Johnny Depp serving as executive producer and additional help from Jack Douglas who co-wrote and co-produced a number of tracks.  It was engineered by Witkin and Tony Perry.  The album was mixed by Tony Perry with Ari Blitz serving as assistant mix engineer at After Master in Los Angeles.  On the album, JOE also teams up with sons Tony and Roman on "Spanish Sushi," which was produced and arranged by The Perry Boys with JOE on guitars and bass, Roman adding synthesizer programming and Tony handling drum programming.

"It's going to be interesting to see what songs people gravitate to because there's such a wide variety of tunes," JOE notes.

I'll Do Happiness (featuring Terry Reid)
Aye, Aye, Aye (featuring Robin Zander)

Throughout his career, the electrifying lead guitarist of Aerosmith--America's Greatest Rock & Roll Band--JOE PERRY has achieved permanent iconic stature in the pantheon of rock.  He has helped to drive his band, over the course of four decades, to sales of more than 150 million albums, critical acclaim, four Grammy Awards (one of which includes the guitar-based instrumental "Boogie Man") and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. JOE PERRY's work with Aerosmith has resulted in an unending array of accolades and honors. The second performance of the night came from the ICE-T led BODY COUNT, which raged through their topical call-to-action "No Lives Matter." ICE and his crew then gave fans another great collaboration with MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE stepping in to join on "Civil War."

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has completed the follow-up to 2014's IX offering. Helmed by longtime producer John Custer, who's recorded such prior CORROSION OF CONFORMITY classics as Deliverance, Wiseblood, America's Volume Dealer, and In The Arms Of God, the record will mark the band's studio reunion with vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan and their first full-length record together since 2005.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY emerged from hibernation as a trio and released 2012's self-titled album and 2014's IX to wide acclaim, but many fans have been eagerly and patiently awaiting the return of Pepper Keenan. The band was originally an influential hardcore punk/heavy metal crossover act before reaching critical success with a then new lineup on 1991's Blind album. That trajectory continued with wider appeal as Keenan took over as the group's primary vocalist on Deliverance (1994) and Wiseblood (1996). These two recordings in particular fused the raw energy of their previous albums, with some great strides forward in classic rock inspired songwriting and more spacious production and execution. Since then the band has often been copied but rarely equaled. This juggernaut gained mass and momentum with relentless touring alongside such greats Metallica, Clutch, Eyehategod, and many more. Eventually, following the release of In the Arms Of God in 2005, Keenan decided to focus all his energy on his hometown band Down...until now.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY is:
Pepper Keenan - vocals, guitar
Woodroe Weatherman - guitar
Mike Dean - bass, vocals
Reed Mullin - drums, vocals

NEW ALBUM DARK DIVINE OUT NOVEMBER 3

ON RISE RECORDS

BAND TOURING THIS FALL

Like Moths to Flames have premiered new track "Shallow Truths for Shallow Minds" via Tattoo.com. Listen
here.

"'Shallow Truths for Shallow Minds' is definitely an oddball for the record but I think people who appreciate the more aggressive side of the band will gravitate towards it. Mixing melody and heavy is sometimes easier said than done but I think this is a great representation of the different things the band can do," said singer Chris Roetter.

The track is taken from their upcoming album Dark Divine, out November 3 through longtime label Rise Records. The album was produced by Erik Ron at Grey Area Studios and mixed by Caleb Shomo (Beartooth).

Dark Divine is available for pre-order

POWER TRIP Wins Big At Loudwire Awards And Performs Motörhead Track With Hatebreed Vocalist; Band Chosen For WWE NXT Takeover: Wargames + Tour With Cannibal Corpse Begins

With 2006's Dimevision Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have, fans of Dimebag Darrell and his work with Pantera and Damageplan were afforded the chance to see into the world of the legendary guitarist. Compiled from the many, many hours of video footage captured between the mid-80s and his later years, it was a funny, touching and poignant memorial.

Metal Blade Records is thrilled to announce the release of Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over - another true celebration of the man and how he lived his life - on November 24, 2017. Pre-orders are available via Metal Blade
here. The DVD/CD set - which will include more raw footage, true gems and classic Dimebag moments - will also include five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since longtime girlfriend Rita Haney gave him his first 4-track in 1984.

Beginning today at 3:33pm Texas Central "Dime Time", a PledgeMusic campaign was launched to support the release of the set. There, you can also view an official Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over trailer. In addition to acting as a pre-order for the set, the PledgeMusic campaign includes an assortment of rare items to buy, including props and costumes that belonged to Dimebag and that you can see in his home videos/Dimevision volumes, rare stage clothing, and other merchandise. Visit the PledgeMusic page here:
https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/dimevision2

Going into making Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, Rita Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl "Bobby Tongs" Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag's closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for Pantera, Damageplan and a plethora of A-list musicians, from Slipknot to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloguing hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create Dimevision Vol. 2.

Arnberger explains, "As we all watched, we envisioned certain segments and ideas coming to life in my head, and rather than it serving as a memorial, this second DVD is more about the vision Dime had in his head for this footage, what he actually wanted it to become. This one is more uplifting, funny, and it stays 100% true to his idea for Dimevision."

Fans of the original know that this way of life involved a lot of whiskey, an insane amount of fireworks and a contagious desire to have fun - and like its predecessor, the title is also drawn from the words of the man himself. Having a habit of latching onto a saying or a phrase, this soon became part of his particular dialect, affectionately dubbed 'Dime-bonics'. "It comes from something he was saying a lot in 2003 and 2004," Haney recalls. "He'd call from the road and he'd say 'man, I'm beat up out here, but that's the highs and lows of rock and roll. You gotta roll with it or get rolled over.'"

"He had a unique way of seeing things, and he always lived with a video camera," adds Haney. "No matter where we went he was always capturing what was going on, and myself and others around him were filming a lot too. In putting out these videos I just want people to see the way he was, 24/7. What you saw on stage and backstage, that was how he lived."

Unsuspecting visitors to the couple's home were regularly drawn in - memorable segments involve girl scouts selling cookies and Dimebag experiencing an "interesting" CPAP machine fitting - and events as mundane as taking a friend to get a pedicure become hilarious, thanks to his particular way of seeing the world. As endlessly entertaining as Dimebag was, there were of course other, deeper sides to his personality, which are also reflected in both volumes. Haney adds, "There were some really touching, deep, heavy and emotional moments in the first one, where he's talking about himself to the camera while in the shower. Filming himself like that was something he did a lot, and you'd have no clue until you're looking through the tapes and come across them, and when you do the goosebumps crawl all over you. People that love and know Darrell are going to be touched by what he has to say, because it's him telling you for the first time."

As for his included demos, Dimebag not only wrote down the lyrics and dates of everything he recorded but also his thoughts on it at the time, which Haney will also be sharing with fans. However, she's quick to point out that no one should expect high production standards ("It's called a 4-track for a reason!") and that these are not 'lost' Pantera tracks. "These songs come from his off-time, it was entertainment to him - one of them was even inspired by a George Michael solo record coming out back in the 80s!" she laughs. "But he loved making music and he appreciated all kinds of music, whether he was making a joke of it or not, it still caught his ear, and I hope people can enjoy these songs for what they are and the spirit they were made in."

With so much footage left over, fans can rest assured that as fulfilling as Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over is, there's still a lot to look forward to. Haney says, "We hope to make [Dimevision] an annual thing. It will all depend on if the fans want it and support it!"

A Perfect Circle, who recently released “The Doomed,” the first new music to be heard from the band’s expected 2018 album, return with an accompanying video for the “apocalyptic” (Rolling Stone) track: http://smarturl.it/TheDoomedVideo.

Upon arrival of “The Doomed” (

In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder.”

“Years of life experience has brought our music to this moment,” offered Billy Howerdel. “We know where we came from. Deeply connected to the path we’re on.”

A Perfect Circle have signed a worldwide recording deal with BMG and are working with producer Dave Sardy on the follow-up to 2004’s eMOTIVe.

Last week saw the announcement of SONS OF APOLLO, the highly anticipated new band featuring former Dream Theater members Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force).  Their debut album, PSYCHOTIC SYMPHONY, is due for release on October 20 via InsideOutMusic / Sony, and now they are pleased to reveal their first track titled “Signs of the Time.” Listen now here: https://youtu.be/TLVWkqnN3Ck

Mike comments: "’Signs Of The Time’ was the very first thing myself, Derek & Bumblefoot wrote when we got together to begin writing for SONS OF APOLLO in March of this year.

‘It starts with this heavy, brutal Bumbleriff (initially coined ‘Korntera’), then goes into a cool verse with a two-part vocal melody that I wrote sung by Jeff and myself, which eventually opens up to a HUGE vocal hook in the chorus that Jeff wrote (sung in three-part harmony by Jeff, myself and Bumblefoot).

“The middle section riffs are a few things that Derek brought in and show why he is the most BADASS keyboard player in the biz (playing the keys like a guitar player on fire!) and then we have the long extended breakdown and guitar solo which shows why Bumblefoot is one of today's greatest GUITAR HEROES! This album is going to get him the recognition he truly deserves and this particular guitar solo is one of the tastiest, most insane solos I've EVER heard.

“So all in all, this song has a little bit of everything that makes SONS OF APOLLO so special...great heavy riffs, amazing solos with individual instrumental virtuosity and a big, catchy chorus with more hooks than a tackle box!!

“I figured this would be a great ‘first taste’ to introduce the world to this amazing new supergroup...and there's a whole lot more of different musical styles and twist & turns still to come all throughout the album."

The debut album, PSYCHOTIC SYMPHONY, is now available to pre-order on 2CD Mediabook (featuring a second disc of instrumental mixes), Gatefold 2LP vinyl + CD, Standard Jewelcase CD & digital download. Pre-order now here:

AVENGED SEVENFOLD has announced a December 15th release date for the deluxe version of their critically acclaimed album, THE STAGE (Capitol). This new edition features 7 additional studio songs + 4 unreleased live tracks recorded during the band’s recent shows at The O2 arena in London. Among the 7 bonus tracks is the band’s stunning cover of the Pink Floyd classic, “Wish You Were Here,” which was released today and can be heard HERE. The “Wish You Were Here” companion video can be seen HERE.

Both the digital and physical deluxe versions of THE STAGE can be

pre-ordered HERE (note: the CD and vinyl versions of the album will include a special lenticular cover).

About Avenged Sevenfold’s version of “Wish You Were Here,” lead singer M. Shadows says, “This is the song that started us down the rabbit hole with our recent cover recordings.  I’ve always loved this song and though I felt it would be impossible to capture the somberness of the original, we approached it with another purpose. There’s a poignancy to the song that seems appropriate with everything going on in the world today. We put a bit of a modern twist on it to reintroduce it at a time when it might help capture what some of us are feeling.”

The deluxe edition is the latest chapter in an innovative album cycle that began 12 months ago when Avenged Sevenfold “surprise-released” THE STAGE, becoming the first-ever rock band to drop an unannounced album in digital and physical form. The band (vocalist M. Shadows, guitarists Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman) announced the album’s release to millions of surprised fans who had been watching their live-streamed set from the rooftop of the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood, CA. That groundbreaking event saw the quintet give a 3D/360-degree virtual reality performance that enabled fans around the globe to experience Avenged Sevenfold’s electrifying show as if they were there for the first-of-its-kind immersive event.

Months later, the forward-thinking band announced plans to transform THE STAGE into an evolving body of work by adding a series of new tracks over the course of several months.

Those songs—which began with a scintillating rendition of Mexican folk song “Malagueña Salerosa” —have been previously unavailable for purchase, but fan demand for the tracks brings the album to its current stage as a deluxe release.

In addition to the album’s original 11 tracks, the deluxe version features A7X’s reimagining of Mr. Bungle’s “Retrovertigo,” original track “Dose,” a cover of Del Shannon’s 1961 No. 1 hit, “Runaway” (featuring a guest appearance by Vandals’ guitarist Warren Fitzgerald and lead vocals by Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance), the band’s version of The Beach Boys’ 1966 hit, “God Only Knows” and most recently, their rendition of the Rolling Stones’ “As Tears Go By.” The four concert recordings included on the album are title track “The Stage,” “Paradigm,” “Sunny Disposition” and “God Damn.”

Rolling Stone called
THE STAGE “epic and adventurous” and “the most aggressively bonkers music of the quintet’s career” and NME, Q, The Guardian, Guitar World, Metal Hammer, Revolver, Metal Injection, Alternative Press, Drum, Total Guitar and Classic Rock are among the myriad press outlets that lauded the album, with the latter calling it

“a metal masterpiece.”

Tickets also go on sale today for Avenged Sevenfold’s 2018 North American arena headlining tour, set to kick off January 12th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with special guests Breaking Benjamin and Bullet For My Valentine. The band has partnered with CID Entertainment to offer VIP Tour Experiences, including access to a VIP-only viewing area, an official signed show setlist, an invitation to the pre-show lounge featuring Avenged Sevenfold memorabilia and an exclusive A7X tour book including never-before-seen photos.

For full package details, please visit CID Entertainment.

The tour will be North America’s introduction to the electrifying Stage spectacle that drew rave reviews in Europe and the UK. After the recent 02 Arena shows, the London Evening Standard lauded Avenged Sevenfold as “a global phenomenon” and wrote that the band “specialized in preposterous fun,” calling the show “royally entertaining.” The Guardian ran a 4-star review of the show in Glasgow, writing, “Underneath retina-scorching screens and giant cosmic cube broadcasting spiraling starfields, the five-piece methodically discharge booming, arena-filling songs…these industrial assemblages of growing riffs and fret-melting solos have a default minor-key menace, yet the overall atmosphere is surprisingly joyous.” But Kerrang!  best summed up Avenged Sevenfold’s new live show:

“you’ve never seen anything like it.”

Don’t miss your chance to catch Avenged Sevenfold live.

Legendary death metal unit MORBID ANGEL will unleash their ninth studio album on December 1st via Silver Lining Music and JVC in Japan. Titled Kingdoms Disdained, the record reunites founding guitarist Trey Azagthoth with bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker.

Just one play of MORBID ANGEL's searing Kingdoms Disdained, and you'll realize that this is the only true current aural document of a world sinking into uncharted despair. "The album title says it all," says Tucker, "everybody's fed up and nobody can figure out how to fix it. We've got all these miniature wars in neighborhoods, cities, countries, and we've got people with varying opinions causing chaos, yet everyone is doing what they feel is right. Which all makes it feel like the world has reached a point of utter madness and confusion."

As if fate constructed the moment, these forefathers of death metal found themselves witnessing the storm's eye as they prepared to create Kingdoms Disdained, deciphering it with their ferocious music via long-held Sumerian-based beliefs. "It's been written but nobody pays attention, because we erase our history," furthers Tucker. "We don't understand much about the Sumerian texts because things got erased, buried, and broken up. And for years, Trey and I talked a lot about the idea of those Gods waking up and coming back to show us that they're angry."

Recorded at Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida and produced by MORBID ANGEL with Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, Six Feet Under, Belphegor), Azagthoth, Tucker and drummer Scotty Fuller (Annihilated; former Abysmal Dawn) created eleven pieces of devastatingly dynamic death metal. Compositions such as "Garden Of Disdain," "Architect And Iconoclast," and "The Pillars Crumbling" supremely illustrate Azagthoth's incredible creative alchemy with Tucker as well as his own incomparable guitar work.

"We're always trying to paint pictures; to create images," notes Tucker, "and I think this album is a fair image of the world today, but taken from a different perspective; the perspective of those Gods who built this, who may be resting now but are starting to wake up."

Kingdoms Disdained also features artwork courtesy of Irish mixed-media artist Ken Coleman, who created a series of pieces that further augment the stories being told. Don't walk meekly around the edge of Kingdoms Disdained, go all-in on the journey and MORBID ANGEL's intense importance to these times will be crystal clear.

MORBID ANGEL's Kingdoms Disdained will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. Preorders are currently available at

Following the release of their Red EP via Housecore Records, SCOUR -- the extreme metal supergroup featuring Philip H. Anselmo and members of Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Pig Destroyer, and more -- has collaborated with Amptweaker engineer James Brown to release a signature SCOUR guitar pedal. The pedal is a modeled after Amptweaker's TightMetal Pro pedal, which is a distortion pre amp with built-in noise gate, effects loops, boost controls, and a special Side Track ™ loop for other effects when the preamp is not engaged.

Prior to this project, Brown also designed Peavey's original 5150 with Edward Van Halen, the Peavey JSX amplifier with Joe Satriani, the Schecter Hellwin with Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold, the original Tight Metal pedal with Mark Kloeppel of Misery Index, and many more.

Said Brown, "It's been almost a year since Derek Engemann (SCOUR, Cattle Decapitation) began using Amptweaker TightMetal pedals on tour, including the bass version in Cattle Decapitation, and the TightMetal Pro for crushing guitar tones in his black metal supergroup SCOUR. We built some custom units for the band for live shows, and now you can buy your own custom SCOUR TightMetal Pro for a limited time...only from Amptweaker."
Comments Engemann, "This is the official live sound of SCOUR...crushing all in its path!"

Forged in 2015, SCOUR's debilitating fusion of black metal, grindcore, and thrash made its debut with the ferocious single "Dispatched." The band's debut EP, Grey, was released the following year via Anselmo's own Housecore label. Just before a crushing performance at Hellfest Open Air, which featured a cover of the Pantera classic "Strength Beyond Strength," the band recorded their Red EP at Nodferatu's Lair with Steve Berrigan (Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Eyehategod, Haarp, Classhole, etc.) at the helm. The record was once again mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Cattle Decapitation, Cobalt, Khemmis) at Flatline Audio.

With eight studio albums under their belt, Massachusetts-based hard rock juggernauts All That Remains show no signs of slowing down. Their album Madness dropped on April 28th via Razor & Tie Records to an overwhelmingly positive response hitting #1 US Top Hard Rock Albums and #9 US Top Rock Albums charts. The band has already toured heavily in support of the project, hitting major summer festivals like Carolina Rebellion and Montebello Rockfest, among others. They also hit the road on a headlining run, catching up with a few friends including Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, and Motionless in White. In the meantime they're keeping things moving, today All That Remains has given new life to an unexpected cover of Garth Brooks hit single "Thunder Rolls." Their take on the Country star's award-winning tune, (one of singer Phil Labonte's favorites) is compelling, reworking the song in an epic way and making it their own. In an interview with Billboard, Labonte discussed the unexpected cover choice, sharing, "We're continuing to push what people's notion of what All That Remains is and what we're allowed to do and what we're willing to do, in what ways we're willing to go and experiment... That's always our point -- How can we reach out to new people?"

Concerning the album;  "The Blood of Gods" chronicles the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry!

"The track shows Phil's versatility, and perhaps some of his best screams in years; a total rip fest." -- John Jarvis, SCOUR

Stream / Share SCOUR's "Red"
RIGHT HERE.

An extreme metal supergroup with a pedigree covered in viscera, SCOUR is the brainchild of Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down), John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), Chase Fraser (Animosity, Decrepit Birth), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index). Forged in 2015, the band's punishing mix of black metal, grindcore, and thrash made its debut with the ferocious single "Dispatched." The band's debut EP, Grey, was released the following year via Anselmo's own Housecore label.

In advance of the EP's release, today Decibel Magazine is offering up an exclusive premiere of the opening title track. Notes Engemann, "SCOUR returns with a vengeance with the title track, 'Red.' Blasting right out the gate, 'Red' steps up the intensity, while retaining that relentlessly haunting SCOUR sound." Adds John Jarvis, "I think the track shows Phil's versatility, and perhaps some of his best screams in years; a total rip fest."

"'Evil Dead II.' 'Dawn of the Dead.' 'The Godfather: Part 2.' 'The Empire Strikes Back.' All sequels that are better than the original. Add 'KillThrax II' to that list. Back by popular demand, KillThrax is coming at ya again my friends."  -- Scott Ian, Anthrax

What do you do when you've co-headlined one of the hottest metal touring packages of 2017? Well, like any rock band that cares about its fans, you do it again, but you take it to the places that missed out the first time. And that's exactly what metalcore masterminds Killswitch Engage and legendary thrash/metal masters Anthrax are announcing today — "KillThrax II," a 29-city tour of North America presented by SiriusXM that kicks off January 25 in Montreal, Canada and will zig-zag across the continent to wind up in Portland, ME on March 4.

Confirmed tour dates are below. Go
here for all ticket and purchasing options.

Havok will serve as the opening act for the entire tour.

Said Anthrax's Frank Bello, "After playing so many amazing shows last year with our friends Killswitch Engage, I'm psyched for round two of KillThrax, and we're adding Havok to the heaviness!!" Added Charlie Benante, "The shows were great, the audiences were great, and we all felt great about the whole thing, so why not do it again?"

"We are looking forward to the next leg of the 'KillThrax' tour," said KsE singer Jesse Leach. "We had a blast on the first one and we enjoyed sharing the stage with the humble legends Anthrax!  There is such a synergy between the two bands and a certain unity that is infectious, so it was a no brainer to put this package back together and hit the road. It's an honor and we are excited for these shows, the fans, and the good times! KillThrax is gearing up for round two, so let's keep the party rolling!"

As with the inaugural KillThrax tour, Killswitch Engage and Anthrax will rotate the show's closing slot on KillThrax II. Fans can also expect a night of high energy, musical ferocity and sheer intensity, and what one reviewer called "an incredible night of live music with heavy hitters that provided hours of escape into metal bliss."

ABOUT ANTHRAX:

As part of the band's 35th anniversary year, Anthrax released one of 2016's most-anticipated metal/thrash albums, For All Kings (February 26/Megaforce in North America/Nuclear Blast internationally), that debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Chart, and #9 on the Top 200, becoming Anthrax's highest-charting album in more than two decades.  Written by drummer Charlie Benante, bassist Frank Bello and guitarist Scott Ian, the dynamic triumvirate whose unique composition chemistry is, in part, what sets Anthrax's music apart from other bands' in the same genre, combined with Joey Belladonna's breathtaking vocals and the searing guitar leads by newest member Jonathan Donais, it's no wonder the album and the band's live shows have consistently received tremendous reviews.

Over its three-and-a-half-decade career, Anthrax has been a pioneering band with its unique style, sound and heavy brand of thrash metal, and, as Metallica's Kirk Hammett put it, "one can hear their influence on any number of up and coming bands."  Anthrax has sold in excess of 10-million units, received multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, six Grammy nominations and a host of other accolades from the media, industry and fan, including 2016’s inagural “Innovatator Award” presented at the the Epiphone/Revolver Music Awards.  From the race and genre barriers Anthrax helped break down in 1988 when they collaborated with Public Enemy on "Bring The Noise," to becoming a card-carrying member of The Big Four - with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth - as one of the four bands that defined the speed/thrash metal genre, to being the first metal band to have its music heard on Mars when NASA played "Got The Time" to wake up the Mars Rover, Anthrax continues to break ground and innovate.

ABOUT KILLSWITCH ENGAGE:

Formed in 1999 out of western Massachusetts, Killswitch Engage are often credited as one of the most influential metal acts in the last 20 years. Twice Grammy-nominated, they've sold over 3 million records worldwide, with The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies both certified Gold in the U.S. The band has enjoyed multiple Top 10-charting albums, with 2016's Incarnate (March 11/Roadrunner) landing at #6 on the Billboard Top 200, #1 on the Current Rock Albums chart, and debuting at #1 overall in Canada, #5 in Australia, and #10 in both the UK and Germany, a testament to the band's international reach.

As cofounders of Killswitch Engage, guitarist/backing vocalist Adam Dutkiewicz, guitarist Joel Stroetzel, bassist Mike D’Antonio, and lead vocalist Jesse Leach (who returned four years ago after a decade-long absence) together with longtime drummer Justin Foley continue to make trend-resistant, timeless heavy music that feeds the soul, touches the heart, and strengthens the mind. Spending much of their career on the road, Killswitch Engage have enjoyed premium slots on major U.S. tours, including OzzFest, Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest, Music As a Weapon, and Trespass America, as well as countless international festivals around the globe. Having shared the stage with acts ranging from Rise Against to Slayer, the diversity and versatility of their touring is unparalleled. Their songs have been featured on Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, John Madden, the Resident Evil III soundtrack, and as entrance music for WWE wrestling champ CM Punk. The band's compelling history can be seen in their latest release, Beyond the Flames: Home Video Vol II, a treasure trove of gripping content, containing 3.5 hours of footage, including a 75-minute documentary that chronicles the return of original vocalist Leach after nearly a decade away from the band he helped form, as well as tons of live footage from around the globe.

GHOUL: Masked Villains Of Creepsylvania Announce Mammoth North American Fall Tour With GWAR

The inaugural LOUDWIRE MUSIC AWARDS--America's hard rock and heavy-metal award show and concert--took place at The Novo in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday night (Oct. 24), as the rock and metal communities came out strong for a historic night of rock 'n' roll. Presented by the renowned hard rock music site Loudwire.com, the show was broadcast live on AXS TV and live-streamed through the WWE's Facebook Live. For a complete list of winners and videos from the night, see below.

The evening kicked off with a spirited performance of "Black Wedding," IN THIS MOMENT's take on the Billy Idol classic "White Wedding" with colossal assist from none other than the "Lemmy Lifetime Achievement Award" winner ROB HALFORD of JUDAS PRIEST. The explosive open was followed by one of the band's biggest hits "Roots," with the dynamic MARIA BRINK captivating the crowd with her sultry voice and stage presence.

Watch the epic performance of "Black Wedding" on

WWE superstar and show host CHRIS JERICHO welcomed fans to the LOUDWIRE MUSIC AWARDS with a little help during his monologue from STEEL PANTHER and EDDIE MONEY before announcing the night's first award.  ZAKK WYLDE, who has enjoyed success with his Book of Shadows II solo album, and has rocked stages with Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society and Zakk Sabbath , was the winner of the "Best Guitarist Award" as sponsored by PRS Guitars. WYLDE returned to that stage later in the night for a wrestling showdown with wrestling great The Miz.

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES have begun recording their upcoming studio album with producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, The Haunted, Dimmu Borgir) at Parlour Studios in the UK, which follows up 2014’s acclaimed comeback release “At War With Reality”.

Frontman Tomas checked in with the following comment:
"We are finally hitting the studio and are super excited about this! The songs have been worked on in such detail for the last 7 months and we can´t wait to put them down to tape. Russ Russell was actually the runner up for mixing “At War With Reality”, and we really wanted to work with him on this one. He has what we are looking for when it comes to sheer loud, blunt heaviness. This is going to be a darker, richer and more raging album than the last one. It has so much more real ATG emotions on display, and I would say, it has the same approach lyrically as the feeling of “The Red In The Sky Is Ours”. More of a RED album, than a BLUE one. Can´t wait for people to hear it!"

Check out a look inside the studio, featuring AT THE GATES drummer Adrian Erlandsson doing a drum set-up run-down for the recordings here:

AT THE GATES have also announced their next live shows for 2018 including a trek to the U.S for Decibel's Metal & Beer Festival in Philadelphia, PA! Dates are as follows:
3/4          Tilburg, NL – Netherlands Deathfest
3/31        Philadelphia,PA – Decibel Metal & beer Fest
6/21        Halden, NO – Tons Of Rock Festival
7/13-15  Gävle, CH – Gefle Metal Fest
7/27-28  Essen, DE – Nord Open Air
8/8-11    Jaromer, CZ – Brutal Assault Festival

AT THE GATES’ latest album, “At War With Reality”, which came out in late 2014 via Century Media Records, marked a first new studio album effort in 19 years for AT THE GATES and managed to enter the charts in several countries upon release, including the following positions: Sweden: # 3, Germany: # 25, USA: # 53, Finland: # 15, Austria: # 39, Switzerland: # 51, UK: #132, UK Rock Charts: # 13, France: # 119 or also Japan Oricon International: # 17.

PSYCHOTIC SYMPHONY was produced by the dynamic production duo of Portnoy and Sherinian, also affectionately known as “The Del Fuvio Brothers,” which is the nickname given to them over 20 years ago during their time together in Dream Theater.

SONS OF APOLLO got together very organically, as Portnoy explains: “Derek and I reunited shortly after I left Dream Theater in 2010 and we put together an all-instrumental touring band with he and I, Billy Sheehan, and Tony MacAlpine. That was my first time working with Derek since the ‘90s when he was in Dream Theater and it was just great to be working with him again. Ever since that tour, which was really just a one-off live thing, he has been nudging me to start a real, original, full-time band. The timing just had never been right, because I had too many other things on my plate. Long story short, the time was finally right to take the bait and put together a band.”

“Mike and I work at a relentless pace in the studio,” continues Sherinian. “The music is modern, but we have an old school soul. What is unique about SONS OF APOLLO is that we have true rock n’ roll swagger along with the virtuosity-- a lethal combination!”

But what to call the next great supergroup? “Derek was mainly the one behind the name,” says Portnoy. “I have a list that I keep on my phone of about a hundred different band names, which I constantly have to refer to every time I have a new band every year (laughs). So, I pulled up the list and Apollo was one of the names on the list. It was a word that both of us really liked. We started fiddling with different variations of the word. One of the original band names we were working with was Apollo Creed, the character from the ‘Rocky’ movies, but after lots of different discussions on different variations, Derek suggested SONS OF APOLLO and it seemed to stick. Apollo is the God of Music so with that in mind it seemed like a fitting name.”

Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian and Billy Sheehan previously toured together in 2012 and 2013 as PSMS (along with guitarist Tony MacAlpine), playing all instrumental versions from each of their previously recorded music. SONS OF APOLLO is the next logical progression by adding a vocalist and creating all-original material. The band incorporates the progressive style and individual technical prowess that Portnoy & Sherinian shared together in Dream Theater combined with the swagger and groove of Van Halen, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.

“I have known Mike and Derek for a long time, so when they came to me with Sons of Apollo, I jumped on this straight away,” says Thomas Waber, Label Manager/A&R International of InsideOutMusic. “However, the album they ended up recording exceeded my already high expectations by a long mile! We couldn’t be happier about it!”

SONS OF APOLLO will hit the road in 2018 for their first worldwide tour.

“This is a real band,” Portnoy declares. “This is going to pick up for me and Billy where The Winery Dogs left off, in terms of this being the next logical full-time thing for us. I’m not saying The Winery Dogs have broken up, because we haven’t, we’re just on a break. SONS OF APOLLO is absolutely going to be a full-time band and we plan on touring all over the world all throughout 2018 and, honestly, it is the priority for all five of us.”

Sherinian agrees, “We will go on a worldwide crusade in 2018 to bring SONS OF APOLLO to as many people as possible. Apollo was the God of Music, and we are his mighty offspring!”

Swedish melodic Death Metal pioneers AT THE GATES are in the final stages of preparation for their upcoming new album, following up 2014’s acclaimed comeback release, “At War With Reality”.

After the departure announcement of founding guitarist Anders Björler in March, the group is now not only ready to give a comprehensive update on the new album’s status, but they can also announce the newest addition to their line-up ranks...

AT THE GATES are back!

“We have finally decided on a new guitar player, and we are ready to rip again! Actually he was our first choice, and we are happy to have him on board. Jonas Stålhammar has been a friend since the late eighties (Tomas used to tape trade with him back then!), and our paths have crossed many times during our careers.

We were looking for someone who had the same reference points as we do, someone from the same path, so to say, who understand the greatness of both Autopsy and King Crimson. Of course it was essential that our new member could fill the shoes of Anders' performance-wise as well, but that was never an issue with Jonas. We were looking for someone with a deep understanding of what AT THE GATES are about, someone who could contribute creatively to the band.

Jonas Stålhammar will be a full member from day one, and will play on the upcoming full length album, scheduled for recording in November 2017 – January 2018.

We currently have 11 songs ready for said album, and are more inspired than perhaps ever before. You can expect a full-on AT THE GATES record with all the classic elements of the band. It is by far the most comprehensive album of the band to date, and will span all the way across the different elements of the band's sound.

We are super-excited for 2018. It will be a good year for AT THE GATES, and our fans, for sure.”

The song also makes a commentary on society’s modern vices. According to vocalist Spider One, “We live in a culture of cults. It's not just Charles Mason or Jim Jones anymore. It's Trump, Taylor Swift, Kardashian, Kilo f**king Ren or whatever! It's social media. Subscribe! Like! Follow! Follow! Follow! I'm just throwing my hat into the ring to be your Cult Leader. #drinkthekoolaid”

Red is the impending new EP from extreme metal supergroup SCOUR. With a pedigree covered in viscera, SCOUR is the brainchild of Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down, Superjoint), John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), Chase Fraser (Animosity, Decrepit Birth), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index). Their latest manifestation serves as part two of a three-part EP series.

Red will see release on CD, digital, and vinyl formats on November 3rd. As a precursor to its release, today Revolver is offering up "Piles" for public feasting.

"This is one of our favorite SCOUR songs," says Engemann, "'Piles' comes in hot with blistering melodies wrapped around some serious vocal brutality."

Forged in 2015, SCOUR's punishing mix of black metal, grindcore, and thrash made its debut with the ferocious single "Dispatched." The band's debut EP, Grey, was released the following year via Anselmo's own Housecore label.

SWEET & LYNCH is centered around the talents of guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet of heavy metal stalwarts STRYPER (ex-BOSTON) and iconic guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB, KXM, ex-DOKKEN) along with bassist James Lomenzo (ex MEGADETH, WHITE LION, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Brian Tichy (The Dead Daisies, ex-WHITESNAKE).  In addition to his vocal and guitar work, Michael Sweet handled all of the production duties on "Unified"

The combination of Sweet's powerful, high-octane vocals, Lynch's immediately recognizable guitar work, and Lomenzo and Tichy's propulsive rhythm section make for an amazing musical combination. The album gives both Sweet and Lynch the opportunity to operate outside of the boundaries of their most well known work and really stretch their wings. Pummeling, traditional heavy metal combines with hook-laden melodic rock and traditional hard rock for a recipe that will satisfy the hungriest of rock fans!

As of this writing, the album is #6 on iTunes U.S. Rock Chart,, #3 on Amazon Hard Rock & Metal Chart (physical), #14 on Amazon U.S. Rock Chart (digital), and #23 on Amazon U.S. Rock Chart (physical).

Alternative-rock band MOVEMENTS have released their debut album Feel Something via Fearless Records.
Culture Collide exclusively streamed the album and noted that, "this album is packed with introspective lyricism, anthemic guitar hooks and a whole lot of heart."  Billboard praised the album for its, “cohesive vision of muscular rock energy and melodic songcraft -- and plenty of earworm-worthy hooks.”

"Feel Something is very special to all of us. We’ve spent the last year and a half pouring our hearts and souls into all of these songs," Movements explains to Culture Collide. "We believe it’s the strongest Movements has ever been, and we are very proud of the outcome. We’re very happy to finally release this record."

Produced by the highly-acclaimed Will Yip (Tigers Jaw, Quicksand, Title Fight, and Citizen), the 11-track album Feel Something finds the band entering new sonic territory, with complex arrangements and a level of maturity that is a noticeable departure from their debut EP Outgrown Things. While still heavy and packed with emotion, the new album features the band’s exploration of spacious song structure, proggy harmony and acoustic guitars that push the listener to engage the music in a deeper, more sensual way.

On December 1, UMe/Anthem/ole label group continues its Rush 40th anniversary album celebrations with a lavish new expanded edition of the band's landmark album A Farewell to Kings.

A Farewell to Kings, Rush's fifth studio album, was originally released in 1977, and played a major role in establishing Rush as an internationally popular and respected band.  A Farewell to Kings also introduced the trio's first successful radio hit "Closer To The Heart," album tracks “A Farewell To Kings,” “Madrigal,” “Cinderella Man,” as well as enduring fan favorites with "Xanadu” and "Cygnus X-1."

A Farewell to Kings—40th Anniversary will be available to fans in four distinct configurations including (1) Super Deluxe Edition, (2) three-CD Deluxe Edition, (3) four-LP Deluxe Edition, and (4) the Deluxe Digital Edition.

The Super Deluxe Edition includes three CDs, one Blu-ray Audio disc and four high-quality 180-gram vinyl LPs.  The set encompasses the Abbey Road Mastering Studios 2015 remastered edition of the album for the first time on CD; a complete Rush concert recorded in February 1978 at London's Hammersmith Odeon, newly mixed by longtime Rush engineer and original A Farewell to Kings producer Terry Brown from the multi-track live tapes; four newly-recorded cover versions of songs from the original album by Dream Theater, Big Wreck, The Trews and Alain Johannes; and an instrumental studio outtake of the spacey sound effects the band has creatively titled “Cygnus X-2 Eh.”  The Hammersmith show features, for the first-time ever, over 34 minutes of unreleased performances including a complete “2112” suite, “Lakeside Park,” a drum solo and “Closer To The Heart.” The Super Deluxe Edition's audio content on its CDs is duplicated on its vinyl discs.  Meanwhile, the Blu-ray Audio disc contains a brand new 5.1 surround mix of the album by four-time Grammy® nominated surround sound producer Steven Wilson, along with three original 1977 promo videos from a newly found 2-inch quad video master significantly improving the video quality for “Closer To The Heart.”  The Super Deluxe package also includes an elaborate new 40th anniversary cover treatment by longtime Rush creative director Hugh Syme, who has also created a new piece of artwork for each of the album's six songs, and an extensive 12,000-word liner notes by Grammy®-winning rock historian Rob Bowman.

The Super Deluxe Edition of
A Farewell to Kings—40th Anniversary will also include several exclusive items, including a unique King's Ring, with custom velvet pouch and neck chain; two lithographs with original artwork by Hugh Syme; a special 12-inch turntable mat featuring distinctive artwork by Hugh Syme; and a reproduction of Rush's original 1978 A Farewell To Kings tour program.

A Farewell to Kings—40th Anniversary second configuration will be released in a three-CD Deluxe Edition, with the newly reasserted A Farewell to Kings album, the Hammersmith Odeon show, the four new cover songs, “Cygnus X-2 Eh” outtake, Hugh Syme's song-specific artwork and Rob Bowman's liner notes. The third configuration will be offered as an audiophile 180-gram four-LP Deluxe Edition featuring the same audio content as the three-CD edition with double-gatefold packaging, 32-page vinyl-size booklet, the special 12-inch turntable mat, along with Syme's artwork and Bowman's liner notes.  The fourth configuration, the Deluxe Digital Edition, will feature the original album as disc 1, the complete Hammersmith concert unedited as disc 2, and the four covers songs plus the “Cygnus X-2 Eh” outtake as disc 3.

Additionally, on November 24, UMe will release a 7" vinyl single for Record Store Day's annual Black Friday event, featuring the beloved A Farewell to Kings hit "Closer to the Heart," with a custom large-hole adapter and new artwork by Hugh Syme.

In his liner notes, Bowman describes A Farewell to Kings as "the beginning of Chapter Two" for Rush.  "No longer was the majority of the record dominated by the sound of a power trio.  A more mature Rush now embraced a wider sound palette using synthesizers, Taurus bass pedals, classical guitar, tubular bells, temple blocks and orchestral bells to create greater contrast and color within their compositions. Yet, when desired, Rush continued to deploy the intensity, ferocity and power that they were justifiably known for."

Rush—bassist/keyboardist/vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer/lyricist Neil Peart—has won a large and passionate worldwide fan base for its unique, adventurous approach, which combines sterling musicianship, complex compositions and distinctive lyrical flights drawing upon science-fiction motifs and esoteric philosophical concepts. The band has sold more 25 million albums in the U.S. alone, with worldwide sales estimated at 45 million, and has been awarded 24 Gold, 14 Platinum, and three multi-platinum albums.  Rush has received seven Grammy nominations and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

GHOUL continues to tour in support of their delightfully deviant Dungeon Bastards studio offering. Released via Tankcrimes in July 2016, the record consumed Billboard Charts upon its first week of release debuting at #11 on the Heatseekers Chart, #13 on the Top Vinyl Albums Chart, #13 on the Hard Rock Chart, and #27 on the Independent Albums Chart. The band also earned prime spots on year end lists globally including the #19 position of Decibel's Top 40 Albums Of  2016, the revered rag issuing of the album, "For those who lived through Nancy and Ronald, S.O.D. and D.R.I. GHOUL's sound is like finding a shoebox of discontinued candy, all of it fresh to eat. That said, the gonzo midnight movie vibe and cartoonish energy on Dungeon Bastards perfectly articulates the apocalyptic anxiety that we're all sharing in 2016."

Dungeon Bastards was captured and mixed by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) at Antisleep Studios in Oakland, mastered by Dan Randall (Impaled, Annihilation Time, Fucked Up, Necrot) at Mammoth Sound in San Francisco, and wields eleven hemorrhage-inducing tracks of the band's now-patented Creepsylvanian splatterthrash.

Dungeon Bastards is out now on CD and digital formats as well as slime green and blood red vinyl with a gatefold jacket that opens into the Dungeon Bastards board game. Players take turns advancing through a Creepsylvanian map; the first one to get to end of the map and jump the Wall Of Death wins. CD orders are available
HERE, vinyl HERE, and digital HERE.

"...the gonzo midnight movie vibe and cartoonish energy on Dungeon Bastards perfectly articulates the apocalyptic anxiety that we're all sharing in 2016." - Decibel

"Dungeon Bastards isn't just GHOUL's finest album to date - it's one of 2016's strongest albums to date, a pipe bomb hybrid of thrash, death metal, and hardcore that is effortlessly aggro and fun. Dungeon Bastards is the kind of record that will have you looking cockeyed at anyone who claims not to like it." - MetalSucks

"Infused with the savage technicality of thrash behemoths and legendary crossover beasts such as Blind Illusion and Attitude, the energy and power of early Death and Sodom and the morbid humours of GWAR, GHOUL's lifelong mission has taken another crucial step toward world domination. Thrashing time is here." - Mass Movement

"The production here is crisp and choppy and adds to the fun of this release... add in the sing-a-long choruses and you have a pretty beaking cool release. 7 Fucking Pecks" - Decibel's For Those About To Squawk column

"...the best thing GHOUL has put out to date." - Ave Noctum

On October 20th, GWAR will release a new studio album entitled "The Blood of Gods" via Metal Blade Records.  In support of the new album, your Lords and Masters will leave their arctic slumber and return to the road to cause aural (and anal) devastation across North America.  Joining in the chaos will be Ghoul, Doyle (10/20-11/5), He Is Legend (11/7-12/10) and U.S. Bastards.  The tour kicks off in Richmond, VA on October 20th and runs through December 10th in Detroit, MI.  The tour includes a stop in New York City on Halloween as well!  A complete list of dates can be found below.

The Berserker Blothar had this to say about the upcoming tour:
"Humans, we are coming to tear your world apart with a live performance the likes of which has never been seen on this or any other planet! This album, "The Blood of Gods," is the greatest thing since French toast.  Just hearing these songs performed will result in an instant paroxysm of weeping, gnashing of teeth, and the uncontrollable voiding of your filthy bowels. Now, we are taking the whole bloody shit show on the road, with the most spectacular, blood-drenched, gruesome, and terrifying rock concert of all time. Don't miss your chance to sacrifice yourself to GWAR at a venue near you!"

Bohabs! Be the coolest corpse in the pile! Don't miss your chance to pledge your allegiance to GWAR each night when they rape and pillage your town. Head to
https://www.gwarvip.com to take part in "The Lords and Masters VIP Experience".

There are only 5 VIP TICKETS available per show, that's it so don't wait.

Concerning the album;  "The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry. Meanwhile, Sleazy P. Martini, the crooked entrepreneur who discovered the Scumdogs, and has always envisioned them as a sort of horrific boy band, finally managed to convince the group to write a hit song called "I'll Be Your Monster." If all goes according to plan, it may be just stupid enough to work!
