Finally, since 2014 when I heard their mind-blowing album "Die Without Hope" , I can say I witnessed CARNIFEX live! Tonight at Gamechanger's in Howell, NJ (as a part of the annual Loudfest) San Diego skull crushers CARNIFEX took to the main stage and set it on fire!
Out on the road promoting their current beastly recording "Slow Death" Scott Ian Lewis (vocals), Cory Arford (guitar), Jordan Lockrey (guitar), Fred Calderon (bass) and Shawn Cameron (drums) are crossing the states with Whitechapel Suicide Silence, Oceano and Despised Icon.
"Drown Me in Blood" kicked off the thirty minute set and sounds just as vicious live as it does on "Slow Death". Scott has brutal intensity in his stage presence and delivery and with Cory and Jordan shredding, well let's just say the mosh pit grew with each song.
The title track "Slow Death" was next and was even more impressive live than the band's performance video recently released.
"Hatred and Slaughter", "Die Without Hope", "Lie to my Face", and "Hell Chose Me" filled out the set.
CARNIFEX is a must see live and you still have a few weeks to catch them on this current tour.

Suicide Silence headlined the
annual Loudfest at Gamechangers in Howell, NJ. Guitarist Chris Garza spoke to us a couple hours prior to the band's set . Chris spoke about the current tour, the band's recent set at Knotfest (where they premiered a new song "Doris"), and of course Chris gave us great insight into the band's next album, the self-titled "Suicide Silence" due out Spring 2017.
