Dreads, Dreads, Dreads!! Hard rock icons Korn came to the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ on September 2nd as headliners on the "Return of the Dreads" tour with Rob Zombie. The band is touring this summer as they prepare to unleash their next album "The Serenity of Suffering" on October 21 through Roadrunner Records.
Jonathan Davis (vocals), James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar), Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass) and Ray Luzier (drums) performed for the Camden/Philly crowd for over an hour and made sure to fit in two new songs alongside all the hits.
"Rotting in Vain", the first single released from "The Serenity of Suffering", already sounds like a Korn classic and as the third song in tonight's set (behind "Right Now" and "Here to Stay") got an immensely positive response from the fans. The most recent song off the album to be released (and accomanpied by one hell of a video) is "Insane" , which crushes live. With Davis' powerful vocals and the heavy guitar crunch brought on by Head and Munky "Insane" fit in the live set seemlessly between "Coming Undone" and "Y'all Want a Single".
It's always killer hearing Davis nail the song "Twist" in concert and tonight it was also a treat to hear "Shoots and Ladders", but this time with a portion of Metallica's "One" blended in!! The show wrapped up with "Freak on a Leash" putting one big ass exclamation point on a truly heavy night of rock music!
Next up for Korn is the "Nocturnal Underground tour" this Fall with Breaking Benjamin.

KORN’s new studio album, THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING, arrived last October and instantly ascended to #4 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200. The album – which also debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top Rock Albums” and “Hard Rock Albums” chart – established KORN as one of an elite number of rock legends to achieve multiple top 10 placements on the chart. With 10 total top 10 albums thus far, KORN’s count is now equal to Led Zeppelin.
Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Nick Raskulinecz, THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING includes the GRAMMY® Award-nominated, Top 5 rock radio smash, “Rotting In Vain,” as well as the new hit single, “Take Me.” Currently Top 5 at Active Rock outlets nationwide, “Take Me” is joined by a powerful companion video, streaming now on KORN’s official YouTube channel.
With career album sales in excess of 40 million, two GRAMMY® Awards, nearly 20 million social media followers, and over two decades of non-stop world tours, KORN stands tall as one of the most iconic and influential bands in the annals of hard rock and beyond. Vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarists James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch, and bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu came together in 1993 and immediately started a metal revolution with their classic 1994 self-titled debut, its 1996 follow-up, the 2x RIAA platinum certified “LIFE IS PEACHY,” and 1998’s 5x platinum certified, #1 blockbuster “FOLLOW THE LEADER.”
The years that followed saw KORN battling an array of personal demons but emerging triumphant to even greater popular success and artistic achievement. THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING builds upon the band’s remarkable history with a return to the dual-guitar dynamic that first fueled their music, powered in no small part by drummer Ray Luzier, and some of Davis’ strongest and most reflective songwriting to date.
In addition to its extraordinary popular success, THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING has earned ecstatic critical applause around the world. “Possibly their heaviest album ever,” declared Rolling Stone. “(THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING) really shines on some truly weird, inventive bridges and codas that switch moods like a DJ flipping the crossfader.” “Monstrously heavy from the opening riff onwards,” raved The Guardian, “this is classic KORN: the grooves are lumbering hulks of viscous sludge, frontman Jonathan Davis’ red-eyed angst fizzes with worldly rage and nearly every song boasts a chorus that will wreak havoc when played to diehard crowds...”

Last week, KORN revealed the single for "A Different World" from their upcoming new studio album, THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING (out October 21 on Roadrunner Records). Featuring special guest, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, the song was heavily embraced by the media and fans upon its release September 29, as well as when Taylor joined the band to perform it live for the first time at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY October 2. Today (October 5), KORN have revealed the video for "A Different World."

Earlier today, entertainment portal IMDb gave fans and film buffs a first look at the video alongside KORN band member's all-time horror film favorites.
