Clutch has just released their new video for the song “A Quick Death In Texas”. The video  was directed by David Brodsky / MyGoodEye (Papa Roach, In This Moment).

“The video for ‘Quick Death In Texas’ was a lot of fun to make” states front man Neil Fallon.  “Dave Brodsky and his crew did a great job and considering that the whole shoot was done in a single day is astonishing.  The cast at Wild West City are a great  group of folks.  In a world of monster corporate theme parks, Wild West City is a rare gem.   (And no…  Wild West City is not in Texas.  It’s in New Jersey in the shadow of the Poconos.)
“I won’t lie, I had a blast playing cowboy for a day, even if it meant getting repeatedly killed, sometimes by desperados, sometimes by trusted bandmates.   Originally, I was going to be drawn-and-quartered, but we didn’t have the budget for four horses.  So we opted for a traditional one-horse-dragging. And Lucky, the painted roan, did a fine job of delivering justice.”

Clutch continues their Psychic Warfare World Tour 2016. The band will be playing festivals and headlining shows throughout Europe and the UK this month before returning to the US to headline tour dates in September and October with Zakk Sabbath and Los Angeles based metal band Kyng. Including 2 festival appearances, the trek will begin in Buffalo, NY at the The Town Ballroom on September 28th and conclude in Worcester, MA at The Palladium on October 30th.

Psychic Warfare is the latest and eleventh studio effort from Clutch. The disc debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, No. 2 on the Billboard Independent, No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock and Billboard Rock charts. On Record Store Day this past April 16th Clutch released a limited edition numbered etched vinyl 12 inch that included two previously unreleased tracks from the Psychic Warfare sessions:  "Mad Sidewinder" and "Outland Special Clearance”. Psychic Warfare was produced by longtime producer Machine (Lamb Of God, Every Time I Die).

Clutch May 8 in Reading, PA

Maryland rockers CLUTCH continue to tour as they promote their most recent smash album "Psychic Warfare".  The band's eleventh studio album debuted #1 on the Billboard Top Rock album chart and #11 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.

On May 8th Clutch (singer Neil Fallon, guitarist Tim Sult, drummer Jean-Paul Gaster, and bassist Dan Maines) came to the Santander Arena in Reading, PA along with headliners Lamb of God and openers Corrosion of Conformity.  Needless to say the night was packed solid with incredible rock music!

Tonight the guys focused on tunes from "Psychic Warfare", opening the set with the lead single from the album, "X-ray Visions".  Fallon's approach to the song is powerful and live he amps it up to full throttle.  Thanks to the song we now know he's a Scorpio and man when he screams those lyrics in concert it's bone-shattering!   Next in the set list was another "Psychic Warfare" track "Firebirds!"  which continued the  power rock and led into the killer track "Crucial Velocity" from 2013's album "Earth Rocker.  Three stellar songs to kick off their set which also featured "Psychic Warfare" songs "Sucker For The Witch", "Your Love is Incarceration" and "Our Lady of Electric Light" (a song that when I interviewed Fallon late last year I compared to "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals).

The Reading, PA Clutch fans were dancing and digging the whole set which included two more highs of the night, "Book, Saddle and Go" and the tremendous "Mob Goes Wild".  And just like every Clutch performance I've seen, watching Fallon's expressions and intensity on stage is only matched by Gaster's energetic and animated drumming.  Watching these two perform shows just how much fun top tier musicians like Clutch have when they are on top of their game.
