(New York, N.Y.): Drop your weapons and put your hands up!
Officers Fronzak, Linck, Blehm, and Heenan aka your boys in Attila have reported for duty and are on the scene in their new video for "Hate Me."
In this hilarious and unforgettable clip, Attila trade their microphones and instruments for handcuffs, nightsticks, and cop uniforms and they approach the police officer's job to protect and to serve in ways that only they can.
You didn't think that Attila would be conventional in their depiction of the long arm of the law, now did you?

The video for the song, which lives on Guilty Pleasure, released to much fanfare in November and recently labeled the "the most relevant album about the Internet ever made," among, uh, other things, premiered today on VEVO.com.
So go ahead, put your hands up and get ready for an audiovisual frisking, courtesy of Attila. Watch the video here
Guilty Pleasure is available for purchase via iTunes, Amazon  and MerchNow.

HOD: San Antonio Blackened Death Horde Welcomes New Bassist
 2015 Live Assaults Unfold

San Antonio blackened death horde, HOD, is pleased to officially induct bassist, ZVS Gastelum, into their infernal ranks. Gastelum comes by way of Texas black metal legion, Plutonian Shore, as well as Gnostic and replaced longtime HOD comrade, Robert "Trans AM" Coleman.

Comments the band, "Changes suck but sometimes they have to happen. After many years of service and brotherhood our brother Robert 'Trans AM' Coleman is no longer in HOD. TA will be missed for sure. We hope he gets everything he wants with his current projects and future endeavors. Best of luck to you, brother! We would also like to welcome ZVS Gastelum. ZVS had been filling in on bass while TA was out with Goatwhore, and did a great job. So the choice to bring ZVS into the fold was an easy one to make. ZVS fronts his own band Plutonian Shore, and brings with him many years of live experience. The guy will crush your skull! We are stoked to get out on the road with this demon and unleash hell!"

In related HOD developments, the band will bring their bestial hymns to the stage of the 5th Quarter Lounge in Indianapolis tonight with Carpathian Funeral followed by a performance in Chicago the following evening. HOD will also devour New Orleans and Miami in the coming weeks with additional live invasions in the plotting stages.

1/23/2015 5th Quarter Lounge - Indianapolis, IN w/ Carpathian Funeral, Ptahil, more

1/24/2015 Cobra Lounge- Chicago, IL w/ Carpathian Funeral, Imperial Savagery, more

3/20/2015 Siberia - New Orleans, LA

3/21/2015 Churchill's Pub - Miami, FL w/ Kult Ov Azazel, Solstice, Druid Lord, more

HOD released their Book Of The Worm full-length last Fall via Arctic Music. Named in honor of the Norse figure known as "the blind god," a son of Odin, HOD persecutes the believers of more traditional religious beliefs with a relentless, kingdom-toppling brew of blackened death fans of Angel Corpse, early Morbid Angel, Deströyer 666, Von, Bloody Sign and other dealers of the evil arts won't hesitate to burn a stack of bibles to. Produced by Dennis Munoz (Solstice) and featuring artwork by Jon Zig (Averse Sefira, Deeds of Flesh, Pyrexia), Book Of The Worm is HOD's first full-length since 2009's Ibex Moon-released Serpent, amidst several smaller releases, delivering their most catastrophic material to date.

Orders Book Of The Worm on CD via Arctic Music HERE and digitally via HOD's Bandcamp HERE.

"With potent songcraft and an upswing in career momentum, Book Of The Worm at long last establishes HOD as a beacon in the blackened thrash underground. - Metal Injection

"A hybrid of black and death metal, HOD are a ferocious live band with a huge stage presence loaded with jean jackets, spikes and bulletbelts, headbanging, and lots of PBR tall cans. Book Of The Worm is much in the same vein with a delivery similar to that of Deströyer 666. 4/5" - About.com

"If life is truly nasty, brutish, and short, HOD remains that aphorism made ripping flesh and dripping blood." - Austin Chronicle

"Full of fire and low on mercy, Book Of The Worm is a breakneck listening experience." - Dead Rhetoric

"A smorgasbord of riffs and double bass destruction." - Metal Underground

"... this five-piece attacks with as much Napalm Death as Dark Funeral. Sure, there's Scandinavian influence dripping off of the riffs like the mold dripping off of that towel you've had in front of your shower for the past month, but the rhythm section is straight outta wherever the fuck grindcore comes from." - Last Rites

It leaves a mark, thanks to songs like the “Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)” and “Demons In The Dirt.” Then there is moodier, more contemplative fare like the current hit radio single, "Moth" which connects on an emotional, cellular level.  "HELLYEAH lock and load their most crushing and catchy salvo yet with 'Blood for Blood'. Its unmitigated, unbridled, and unique energy makes for one of the best heavy records of 2014 and the band's definitive offering to date. It will leave you bloody and smiling" says Rick Florino of ARTIST DIRECT.

A lover of classical music, Rhoads had taken initial steps into rock’n’roll as a 16 year old when he formed a band, that soon became Quiet Riot. Rhoads was vaulted to the limelight in 1979 when Ozzy Osbourne chose the relatively unknown guitarist to help shape a new future for him via his band, Blizzard of Oz. The result saw Rhoads co-script two of the most famous albums in hard rock history, Blizzard Of Oz and Diary of A Madman, and rapidly ascended the stairway of fame and recognition for his virtuoso playing and writing. Famed for the way he fused classical flavors with technically-excellent hard rock, Rhoads became one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock.

When he tragically passed away on March 19, 1982 in a plane accident, Rhoads was only 25 years old, but thankfully, the legend of his work, ethos and their continuing influence on a whole new generation of guitarists, has never dimmed.

Celebrate the life and legend of Randy Rhoads with Immortal Randy Rhoads – The Ultimate Tribute.

January 20th 2015 - Presenting Art Of Anarchy, an album featuring Scott Weiland on vocals, John Moyer of Disturbed on bass, Jon & Vince Votta on guitar & drums, and RonBumblefootThal as co-guitarist & producer. A video teaser can be viewed at this location: http://youtu.be/xL8CJfkLBo0

Poised to become one of the biggest new bands of 2015, Art of Anarchy is redefining the rock supergroup.  Meet the “mega group” – band members are rock legends in their own right with over 150 million in sales.  Promising over-the-top songs that break rock music boundaries with an all-or-nothing attitude, star power and bring-down-the-house performances, this mega band promises to transform a new generation into rock enthusiasts and die-hard “Anarchists”.

Art Of Anarchy members are some of rock’s heaviest hitters and most versatile musicians.  Iconic front man, Scott Weiland with his instantly identifiable voice needs no introduction.  He is known as one of rock’s most adroit and ever-evolving vocalists.  Lead guitarist RonBumblefoot Thal from Guns N’ Roses, bassist John Moyer of Disturbed and twin brothers Jon Votta on lead guitar and Vince Votta on drums promise extreme, uncompromising musicianship that rings in a new era for rock music.

The band started out of an 18-year friendship between Bumblefoot and the Votta brothers, dating back to the local New York music scene.  Jon Votta approached Bumblefoot with the idea of putting together a unique new rock band that would have people talking.  They knew Scott Weiland would be the ideal singer to handle the band’s musical diversity.  Once Weiland was on-board, the band was completed by the aggressive, precise, melodic bass of career-rocker John Moyer.

Art of Anarchy has emerged as a band willing to eradicate musical borders in pursuit of something brilliant.  For these legendary members, it’s all about songwriting and musicianship, which the band proudly displays on its self-titled debut album.  The band also sees Weiland returning to his hard rock roots with a harder-edged sound than any of his previous efforts.

Bumblefoot shines not only as the band’s co-guitarist, but also as the producer and engineer on the album.  His world-class guitar playing ranks him as one of rock’s most innovative guitarists.

John Moyer, self-proclaimed hitman from Texas, brings a punchy bottom end that rounds out the sound of AOA.  His in the pocket style can be heard throughout the whole album.

Jon Votta, the grand architect behind Art of Anarchy, co-wrote the soon-to-be-released album and shares lead responsibilities with Bumblefoot.   According to Votta, “This is the record I always dreamed of making since I started playing guitar”.  Vince Votta came up with the band name based upon these principles: it had to be extreme, uncompromising, and make a bold statement- much like his drum playing.

2015 will be a big year for Art of Anarchy.  Rock was never dead– just dormant– and Art of Anarchy is planning to wake it up.  They’ll break all the rules and leave you wanting more Anarchy!

(New York, N.Y.): The UK's Mallory Knox —they're a band, not a person—will crash U.S. shores this month through March. The band will be a support act on one of the biggest tours of the Winter 2015 season —the Pierce the Veil x Sleeping With Sirens trek, which also features PVRIS.
Mallory Knox have commanded copious amounts of Kerrang! and Rock Sound coverage in their native region. Their current album Asymmetry reached the Top 40 album charts in the UK and No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Albums Chart. They have had numerous A-list singles at BBC Radio 1 and MTV Rocks playlisted their videos.

They are also fresh off a hugely successful UK headline tour, which saw them sell out two nights at London's Electric Ballroom. They were supported by My Chemical Romance guitarist Frnkiero and The Cellabration and Moose Blood.

Now, Mallory Knox have America squarely in their sights and it starts with this tour.
Mallory Knox will be spending much of 2015 getting even further acquainted with American audiences, having booked a slot on a major summer tour which will be revealed soon.

Also, Asymmetry is out internationally and will be released in the U.S via Sony imminently; stay tuned for more U.S. album release details.
Some recent press praise for Mallory Knox is as follows:

ATTIKA7 is currently writing their new album and it promises to be their most experimental and hard-hitting release yet!

“I've been told by some that the band has possibly developed its own genre of metal with the newest songs off our upcoming album,” states guitarist Rusty Coones. “Last year we chose to reinvent our sound, experiment with new sounds and influences. We wanted a change; we just didn't know what it was going to be.”

Coones adds, “Instead of rehearsing where we would fall into familiar grooves we just thought about it and when we had the concepts ready we went into the recording studio with a different approach to it. It worked.  Our upcoming album is hard hitting sonically, perfectly arranged and epic. Blisteringly heavy at times and melodic at others, and each song is different from the next.  Our band is made up of serious players that know music and we are very proud of this milestone in our music careers.”

Stay tuned for more news coming from the ATTIKA7 camp, coming soon! For more information, please visit www.attika7.com and www.facebook.com/attika7.

January 20, 2015 - (Burbank, CA) - Two of the world's most respected and influential hard rock bands Mastodon and Clutch are proud to announce THE MISSING LINK TOUR, which brings together both bands as they join forces along with special guests Graveyard and Big Business - each taking part of the tour as support.Together, this night of heavy rock will be one of the heaviest and most exciting concert events of the year.

THE MISSING LINK TOUR kicks off on April 16th in St. Paul, MN. with support provided by Big Business, who recently supported Mastodon throughout a sold-out European tour. Sweden's  Graveyard will then take over the main support slot starting in Los Angeles on April 29th for the remaining dates, closing out the tour in Columbus, OH on May 24th.  Tickets are on sale now.

Mastodon and Clutch share a longtime friendship as fans will recall Clutch front man Neil Fallon contributed vocals to "Blood And Thunder" (from Mastodon's 2004's Leviathan) so fans can expect surprises in store for fans throughout the tour rumbling across North America. THE MISSING LINK TOUR will feature full sets from both Mastodon and Clutch. Clutch will close the show on April 24th in Vancouver, May 10th in Pittsburgh, May 15th in Bethlehem,  May 16th in Baltimore and also the final night of the tour,  May 24th  in Columbus. Mastodon will close all other shows.  For further info on Mastodon, go to: http://www.mastodonrocks.com/.  For further info on Clutch go to http://www.pro-rock.com

Clutch drummer Jean-Paul Gaster had this to say about the tour."We are very much looking forward to our US tour with our friends in Mastodon. We always enjoy playing live but when we have the opportunity to share the stage with a band as inspiring as Mastodon we know each evening will be that much more special. See ya out there!"

Mark your calendars, as THE MISSING LINK TOUR will roll into Denver's prestigious Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 3rd, and joins the stellar line up for Atlanta's Shaky Knee's Festival on May 8th.  The New York City show will take over the  celebrated Central Park Summer Stage annual concert series on May 19th.  General tickets on-sale Friday, January 23rd.

As previously announced, Mastodon have been nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for "High Road," from ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN. This is the band's third Grammy nomination.  The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on Feb 8th. Tune into CBS TV.

Revered Maryland rockers Clutch have been pushing the boundaries that define heavy rock music since the 4 original members got together in high school. Clutch is an unmatched musical force that has been best described as "the quintessential American Rock Band". Clutch released their tenth and latest studio album Earth Rocker via their own label Weathermaker Music on March 16, 2013. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #15 giving the band their highest chart position to date.

Mastodon's sixth studio album, the universally praised, ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN, entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at the #6 position on June 24, 2014, also their highest chart debut of their career.  ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN has rightfully been placed in many Year End Critics & fan BEST OF 2014 lists including those in Rolling Stone, Revolver, Magnet, Decibel, CMJ and many more. At present Mastodon has remained on the CMJ Loud Rock charts for the 26th week in a row. When OMRTSwas placed No. 8 on Rolling Stone's "Top 20 Metal Albums of 2014" list, they summed up the success of the album stating, "The bold hooks and sharply defined riffs of Mastodon's sixth studio full-length makes it easy to hear this album as their evolution from prog-sludge wizards to straight-ahead hard rockers - but the reality is actually far more, er, complex... Ultimately, the best part of Sun is Mastodon's ability to make hooky and visceral music without sacrificing either their metallic muscle or their innate weirdness."

Clutch's Earth Rocker reached #1 on the Rock Chart and #4 on iTunes' overall Top 100 album chart. Earth Rocker was awarded "Album of The Year" by Metal Hammer and garnered a Top 10 spot on Rolling Stone's "Top 20 Metal Albums of the Year". Rolling Stone further enthused:  "Four Maryland lifers - road dogs who've been grinding since the early Fugazi administration, cranking out  seething admixtures of jam-band chops, careening blues-punk riffs and singer Neil Fallon's nerdy, piss-taking wiseass lyrics - release their hardest rocking set to date. Look for a go-go break (and some clever punning on the phrase "drop the bomb!") on "D.C. Sound Attack!" Inspirational verse: "If you're gonna do it/ do it live on stage/ or don't do it at all."

Clutch is currently working on their follow up to Earth Rocker which will be released in 2015.

January 15, 2015 -- Guitarist/singer/songwriter RICHIE KOTZEN digitally released his 20th solo album, CANNIBALS, January 8 via his Headroom-Inc label.  It quickly reached #1 on Amazon’s New Rock Releases chart.  Videos for “You” and “Cannibals” can be found on his official YouTube page.
Here’s information about CANNIBALS, in KOTZEN’s own words:
CANNIBALS is an interesting record for me,” KOTZEN explains, “because much of this material is comprised from recordings that are as old as 10 years.  The title track is the most recent song I’ve written.  That was from 2014, but ‘Come On Free,’ for example, was originally recorded back in the early 2000’s.  I always liked the track, but never knew how to fit it into one of my records.  Somehow I thought now was the time, so I went back to the original recording and did a remix.  The only new overdub is the chant at the end, which happened recently one night when I was playing the song for my friends.  I had a bunch of friends in the studio from Brazil and they all started chanting.  I was like, ‘ALL THAT!’ and put up the microphone and we recorded it with no headphones.  Everyone was having a great time.  It was so spontaneous.
“The track ‘Time For The Payment’ is also an older recording from 2008.  I would have included that on my album, PEACE SIGN, back then, but it didn’t seem to make sense at the time.  That recording is unchanged.  I just had it mastered and I think it is a great closer for the record.
“‘In An Instant’ and ‘The Enemy’ were both written by combining new song ideas with previously recorded material.  I wrote ‘The Enemy’ chorus in 2014 when I originally recorded the song, but I didn’t like the verse I had written.  After spending a day listening to old song ideas, I found an older song of mine with a great verse idea and intro, and basically copied and pasted that recording into the current recording.  Then I sang everything over, made some creative edits, re-wrote some lyrics, and ended up with ‘The Enemy.’  I probably shouldn’t reveal this, but half the song has a drum and guitar performance from several years ago and the rest of the song is comprised of new recorded performances.  Crazy concept, but somehow it worked and I ended up with a recording that I’m very happy with.  I did the same trick with the song ‘In An Instant.’
“I suppose my proudest moment on CANNIBALS is the song I wrote with my daughter, August, called ‘You.’  I originally released this as a single/video at the end of 2014.  It was born from a piano idea she had written when she was 13 or 14 years old.  I found the original recording of her piano performance on my computer and wrote lyrics to it last summer.  Probably one of my favorite things I’ve ever recorded.
“I also did a duet with someone who I’ve always been a fan of, Dug Pinnik from Kings X.  I was at a house party and Dug was there, and we were talking about how we should do something together one day.  When I went back to the studio I was working on the song ‘I’m All In’ and then it hit me.  I called Dug and asked him if he would trade vocals with me on the tune and we did it!  He added a whole other dimension to the track.  I’m glad I called him!”
In other KOTZEN news, he’ll be teaming up with his bandmates of THE WINERY DOGS (Mike Portnoy and Billy Sheehan) to start working on their second album this month.  Stay tuned for new album details.

Armed with a brand new Gold Single, the "Best Live Band" trophy from the 2014 Alternative Press awards, the headline slot on the "Self Help Festival," the A Day to Remember-founded event that is set to take place on March 7 in San Bernardino, CA, and some extraordinary social media increases, Pierce the Veil is a developing band to watch in 2015.  Inbetween tour dates, Pierce the Veil has been focused on finishing their new album, the Dan Korneff-produced follow up to 2012's critical-acclaimed, award-winning breakthrough "Collide With The Sky."  The new album will be released this year, and, according to vocalist Vic Fuentes, "We decided to take our time with the new album.  We've been so moved by the support our fans have given us over the past few years, it's become that much more important to us to make the very best album for them that we can."
With no new album or tour during the first 10 months of 2014, Pierce the Veil capped off last year with social media growth that was remarkable, illustrating the band's exceptional and expanding fan base.  Between late August and the first week of January, the band racked up nearly 80,000 new Twitter followers (now 1-million-plus, in addition to the 2.5-million followers the four individual band members have collectively), 191,837 new Facebook likes (now 2.960-million), and their music video for "King For A Day" (featuring SWS's Kellin Quinn) has gone from 33-million views to an astounding 41-million-plus views (bringing PTV's total YouTube views to more than 84-million).  Plus, in its year-end review, Tumblr announced the top 20 most reblogged bands, placing PTV at #6 and aligning their social media popularity with Platinum and multi-Platinum-selling bands 5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and All Time Low.  And PTV is still a developing band.

Sleeping With Sirens has been preparing for the release of their fourth album, working with producer John Feldmann (The Used, Panic! At The Disco, Good Charlotte).  "Kick Me", the first new single released in late 2014, peaked at #1 on Billboard's Trending 140 chart.  The music video for "Kick Me", filmed with fans at an intimate London show last fall, has cumulated over 3 million views.  The band kicked off 2015 by offering new track "We Like It Loud" as a free download to fans for a span of 24 hours, garnering over 50,000 downloads.
Even with 102 million streams, 83 million music video views, millions of social media followers, hundreds of thousands of tickets sold around the world, over 715,000 in combined album sales and a #3 debut on Billboard's Top 200, Sleeping With Sirens maintains a firm grasp on their musical identity, with an authenticity that draws bigger and bigger crowds.  "The biggest foundation for all of us in the band is to stay true to ourselves," declares Kellin Quinn, "We all sleep well at night knowing these are the songs we believe in.  Our focus was in putting out an album like the ones we grew up listening to, the music that changed us."  Fans can expect new music from Sleeping With Sirens soon.

Then with the success of their sophomore album, Red.White. Green., they continued to march the path of great metal taking the band to new, higher levels. Their live performance is unmatched, which quickly had their name being spread by the masses throughout the scene.

Their highly acclaimed new offering The World Is My Enemy Now was tracked, mixed and mastered with renowned producer Will Putney (For Today, Body Count) at The Machine Shop in NJ. The record debuted at #39 on the Billboard Top 200 in its first week, solidifying the band as a new force to be reckoned with in heavy metal.

With a clear vision for their identity and an immeasurable level of determination, UPON A BURNING BODY are touring full-time throughout the world spreading their message of dedication, self-belief and relentless competitive greatness. Sumerian founder Ash Avildsen commented, UPON A BURNING BODY frontman Danny Leal has one of the most distinguishable and decipherable voices I have heard in years. With the perfect soundtrack of riffs and beats backing him and an explosive live show, there is no question what the very near future will hold for this band.”

(New York, N.Y.): Jesse Leach, lead singer for Killswitch Engage, has always been a man of many creative, artistic hats. While KsE are in the planning stages for their next album, including contributing a song written for the upcoming Games of Thrones mixtape, Leach is going Down Under and is once against flexing new musical muscles by embarking on his first solo DJ and spoken word tour this month. The high-impact mini-trek runs from January 15 through January 24 in Australia.

Leach, a passionate music fan who also writes new album reviews for The Talkhouse, will showcase his DJ skills, mixing samples and splicing songs together while playing with various musical sub-genres and styles, ranging from punk, metal, crust, doom and hardcore to hip-hop, drum and bass. He will focus on underground acts as well as classic ones!

The jaunt's spoken word night, dubbed "Memories, Words and Songs," will find the singer sharing childhood memories, opening up about his musical inspiration, discussing his lyrical themes, and reading personal poetry. It's truly an event where fans can get up close and personal with Leach.

"I am eager and excited to kick off my first DJ tour," Leach enthused. "I have been at this on and off for six years in the Northeastern U.S. and I love sharing music that moves me! There is an amazing rush I get when I play a song and watching the crowd react or when someone approaches me wanting to know what song I played. I do this because I love it."

He continued, "However, I also do this to bring to light and give attention to some of the underground bands that have inspired me and music in general."

Furthermore, Leach said, "My spoken word night is something I've wanted to do for a while and it being my first one, I am nervous and quite excited to see how it turns out! I just want to give a little insight into my life and give something back to all of the fans that have supported me over the years through thick and thin..."

Leach also created a "Spottily" playlist for Fred Perry Subculture to promote the upcoming tour. Check it out here

The tour is both organized and sponsored by Anthony Allayialis, owner of the Melbourne-based Eureka Rebellion Trading.

ARCH ENEMY's Alissa White-Gluz graces cover of
Revolver Magazine's January 2015 issue

Revolver Magazine recently unveiled their January 2015 "Metal Health" issue, featuring fitness secrets from some of heavy metal's strongest stars - including Alissa White-Gluz, front-woman of metal icons ARCH ENEMY! Available on newsstands now, this special issue sees Alissa on the cover alongside Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (http://officialdoyle.com). In the world of heavy music, fitness is the new debauchery; more rockers are forgoing drugs, drinks, and STDs to work out and eat right. As an animal rights activist and vegan, Alissa follows a rigorous diet and healthy lifestyle, sans drugs and alcohol. To read about her daily regimen and more, be sure to pick up Revolver's "Metal Health" issue in stores or online here: http://guitarworld.myshopify.com/products/january-2015-metal-health

An excerpt of the cover story can be read here: http://www.revolvermag.com/?p=69139

Alissa comments: "Touring is so rough on the body and mind that I'm always happy to see people on tour taking care of themselves. If everyone knew how health conscious most rockers are, the whole 'drugs and rock n' roll' stereotype would be shattered. To be able to maintain a rigorous touring schedule like we do in ARCH ENEMY, we all need our bodies to be healthy-- we are like athletes! I have enormous respect for anyone giving their all in mind, body and art every night!"

UPON A BURNING BODY is currently wrapping up a tour in the UK! Check out a great new show review by Metal Hammer here: http://metalhammer.teamrock.com/reviews/2014-11-24/upon-a-burning-body-live-in-london

“Many may still bemoan UPON A BURNING BODY’s infamous and poorly executed PR stunt, but judging by the crowd in the Underworld tonight – which is impressively busy given a) the backlash that greeted that aforementioned stunt and b) Crossfaith are playing just down the road – people are still willing to let the music do the talking. There’s a sense of excitement in the air that has been sorely lacking across much of the more, for want of a better term, ‘mainstream metal’ scene as of late. Despite their setbacks and however many of those may have been self-inflicted, however, this is still a band very much on the brink of going somewhere big.”

Remaining UK Headliner dates:

11/26 - Academy @ Birmingham

After returning to the US, UPON A BURNING BODY will tour with Asking Alexandria, Blessthefall, Chelsea Grin and The Family Ruin later this month!

UPON A BURNING BODY’s debut offering, The World Is Ours, caught the metal scene by storm with its crushing Pantera-esque grooves and dynamic riffing and captivating hooks.

Revolver Premieres Lead Track "Salvation" Which Can Be Streamed Here: http://www.revolvermag.com/?p=68445
New York, NY --- Gothenburg, Sweden's Engel and Gain Music Entertainment have announce the North American release of RAVEN KINGS on January 27, 2015 via MRI / Sony RED.  This is the band's fourth album, produced by founder and songwriter, In Flames' Niclas Engelin.  To capture something incredible, you need to have a team enlisted to execute the vision, and Engel called upon the talents of close friends and colleagues Jocke Skog (Clawfinger) for the monstrous guitar sound design, Jacob Hermann (Top Floor Studios) for recording the Hammer of the Gods, Jacob Hansen (Hansen Studios) for mastering the Wall of Sound, and Joachim Luetke (Luetke.com) for crafting this Sinister Vision.  Revolver has premiered the lead track "Salvation" which can be streamed here: http://www.revolvermag.com/?p=68445
Engel emerged on to the world stage with the release of the critically acclaimed debut album ABSOLUTE DESIGN in 2007. THRENODY followed in 2010 overseas, and January, 2011 in North America, with the band's third album BLOOD OF SAINTS being issued in the Fall of 2012 stateside.   Engel is Mikael Sehlin (Vocals), Niclas Engelin (Guitar), Marcus Sunesson (Guitar), Steve Drennan (Bass) and Oscar Nilsson (Drums).
Engel's three albums have established the band as a force to be reckoned with in the metal community, and RAVEN KINGS exhibits the true promise the quintet has been evolving towards.  Founder and principal songwriter Niclas Engelin offers,  "Your definitive soundtrack to any action / mindgame ps4 game!" Guitarist Marcus Sunesson adds, "Raven Kings will bring you Salvation. The ultimate album in a perfect storm." Engelin has a long history with In Flames, first as a periodic touring guitarist from 1997 - 2011, and now as a full-time official member of the band.
The complete track listing of RAVEN KINGS is "Salvation," "Your Shadow Haunts You," "Denial," "Fading Light," "My Dark Path," "I Am The Answer," "When The Earth Burns," "End Of Days," "Sanctuary," "Broken Pieces," "Hollow Soul."

The dates for the 2015 World’s Loudest Month festival series have been revealed, including the addition of the new Northern Invasion festival outside Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Created by AEG Live, Danny Wimmer Presents and RockHouse Presents, The World's Loudest Month features the biggest names in rock music performing in eight distinct U.S. concert atmospheres in April and May. Last year saw new attendance highs for the World's Loudest Month festivals, with more than 368,000 fans turning out to see over 150 bands perform, proving that the hunger for rock and metal music in America is growing.

In addition to the already established festivals taking place in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and Missouri, the World’s Loudest Month creators are proud to introduce the newest addition to the series, Northern Invasion, which will bow as a one day, multi-stage camping festival just outside the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN.

The 2015 World’s Loudest Month festival dates and locations are as follows:

Monster Energy Fort Rock: April 25 in Fort Myers, FL

Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville: April 25 & 26 in Jacksonville, FL

Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion: May 2 & 3 in Concord, NC

Northern Invasion: May 9 in Somerset, WI

Rock On The Range: May 15, 16 & 17 in Columbus, OH

Rocklahoma: May 22, 23 & 24 in Pryor, OK

River City Rockfest: May 24 in San Antonio, TX

RockFest: May 30 in Kansas City, MO

“With each passing year we continue to work hard to bring something special to the rock fans around the country and to make it easy and convenient for them to attend our events,” comments Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the WLM series for AEG Live.  “That was the reason behind starting Northern Invasion in the upper Midwest.  There is such a tremendous community of rock fans in places like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota, and nothing was all that convenient for them.  So, we thought, ‘Why not bring them a rock festival that they can call their own?’”

“After selling over 360,000 tickets last year for World’s Loudest Month we are constantly looking for great cities and strong markets to add to the family of festivals associated with WLM.  Minneapolis has an incredible rock radio station and it’s only fitting that we bring Northern Invasion to the region as our newest destination to the World’s Loudest Month,” says  Danny Wimmer, co-executive producer of the WLM series for DWP.
