ATTILA CONFIRMED FOR 2015 VAN'S WARPED TOUR MAIN STAGE THIS SUMMER

BAND RETURNING TO THE TOUR FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW, WILL PLAY THE ENTIRE RUN

GUILTY PLEASURE OUT NOW
New York, N.Y.): Attila slayed stages all over the U.S. in the fall upon the November 24 release of Guilty Pleasure.

But your boys will be back and taking over North America once again this summer, as they will return to the Vans Warped Tour, performing on the main stage for the entire trek.

The 2015 Vans Warped Tour runs from June 19 through August 8.

Attila are obviously enthused about spending their summer vacation as part of Vans Warped Tour for the third year in a row. They are also performing on the entire tour for back-to-back years.

"We are extremely excited to be spending another summer on Warped Tour with all of you," singer Fronz said about the good news. "This is by far our favorite tour to be on, and we have lots of exciting plans for you. Come hang out with us all summer long on the Main Stage!"

That sounds like an order that the Villain Army will have no choice but to follow.

In other Attila news, Fronz recently launched his photo-sharing app, Spur, which allows users to post and share any photos they wish, without commenting, making for a truly hate-free experience. All details about Spur are here.

The band's "Hate Me" video dropped earlier this winter, with Fronz and co. posing as cops and reinventing the notion of the long arm of the law as only they can. It has caused quite a bit of a stir. Put your hands up and watch it here.

Fans can grab Guilty Pleasure here.

KING PARROT Releases New Video Featuring Philip H. Anselmo; Album Preorders Available +
Band To Kick Off US Tour With Weedeater Friday

.

Australian thrash grind unit and recent Housecore Records signees, KING PARROT, will release their long-awaited new full-length May 19th in North America via Housecore Records. Titled Dead Set, the record was produced by the legendary Philip H. Anselmo, and his recording crew of Michael Thompson and Steve Berrigan at the infamous Nodferatu's Lair (Down, Eyehategod, Superjoint Ritual et al) in Louisiana and spews forth ten ravaging psalms that showcase KING PARROT's signature punk rock spirit and pummeling sonic debauchery. A true leap forward from their debut, Dead Set exhibits a distinct maturity from a band who've committed to the rigors of international touring, slaying audiences through Asia, North America, Europe and Australia on a regular basis.

As the first official helping from Dead Set, KING PARROT today offers up a brand new video for fourth cut, "Like A Rat," featuring a cameo appearance by Anselmo. Issues the band, "KING PARROT are excited to unleash the first taste of our new record Dead Set. We filmed the video for the track 'Like A Rat' on location at Nodferatu's Lair when recording the new album. We wanted to give everyone a teaser track and a small insight into the awesome experience we had recording with the Housecore Records crew. We're really grateful that we got the opportunity to record in a studio that's not all fancy bells and whistles, just a real down to earth place where we felt comfortable. Our aim was to get a unique and organic sounding product that sounds exactly like the band. I think we achieved that working with Phil, Mike and Steve. Preorders are now live for the record and we worked up some great bundle packs with our respective labels that we think fans of KING PARROT will dig."

Peep "Like A Rat" now playing at THIS LOCATION.

Band Joins Lineup For KISS KRUISE V This Fall

Chris Jericho And Rich Ward To Appear On "That Metal Show" April 4th

Fozzy have announced that they will be joining legendary rock outfit Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators for a handful of select dates this May. The band is currently wrapping up a headlining tour in Europe and are excited to return to the states on the strength of their newest album "Do You Wanna Start A War", which was released last Summer on Century Media.

In addition to the dates with Slash, Fozzy will also be performing on the fifth annual Kiss Kruise, scheduled to take place from October 30th to November 3rd. The sold out four day excursion from Miami to Jamaica is headlined by the epic rock icons themselves, KISS, and features several incredible bands playing on six stages for more than 2,000 fans.

Speaking on the announcement of these massive shows, Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho comments,

"To be invited to tour with both the iconic Slash AND the legendary KISS on their sold out KISS Kruise shows how far Fozzy has come in the last few years...and also makes a few more of our dreams that we had as kids come true!! KISS Alive is my all time favorite album and to be able to see them play it in its entirety while supporting them as invited guests BLOWS MY MIND. And then to get the chance to play with Slash and his drummer....my high school friend Brent Fitz....makes me realize that with hard work and perseverance, Fozzy can do ANYTHING we set our minds to! World domination is next!!"

Fans can also catch Jericho and Rich Ward of Fozzy on an upcoming episode of this season's "That Metal Show", airing on Saturday, April 4th.

MOTOR SISTER "Ride" Debuts on Billboard Charts!

"All you really need to know about Ride is that it kicks a massive amount of ass"
-Revolver-

"This is kick ass classic sounding hard rock! Blazing guitars, great vocals and songs! Everything I love most about hard rock music in one killer album."
-Eddie Trunk-

"MOTOR SISTER put on a show that I can only sum up as "neck breaking fun."
-Skulls n Bones-

MOTOR SISTER's "Ride" has debuted on the Billboard charts after its first week of release. The album cracked the top 10 with the #9 position on the Billboard New Artist (Heatseekers) chart. Additional chart numbers have been listed below!

#12 Debut @ Billboard Hard Music Albums
#40 Debut @ Billboard Rock Albums
#27 Debut @ Billboard Independent Albums
#163 Debut @ Billboard Top 200 Albums (current)

Recently, the band's brand new video for "A Hole" was debuted on Billboard.com. Watch the clip now
HERE.

MOTOR SISTER is a group of musicians whose collective musical pedigrees speak for themselves. Mother Superior founder, guitarist, and vocalist Jim Wilson fronts the band, with Anthrax's Scott Ian on guitar, Pearl Aday on backing vocals, Joey Vera on bass, and John Tempesta on drums.

The group was originally assembled to jam for Scott Ian's fiftieth birthday party. Thanks to Scott's wife Pearl Aday, who has been working on her solo career with Mother Superior front man Jim Wilson for years, all it took was a quick phone call and the stage was literally set for Scott's dream gig. "I wanted to cherry-pick a set list of my favorite Mother Superior songs and get these guys together and have the concert at my house," Ian says of the event that eventually led to an album.

"[Mother Superior] frontman Jim [Wilson] was totally into the idea. Pearl was a huge Mother Superior fan from way back and was in. I asked my good friends Joey Vera (Fates Warning, Armored Saint) and John Tempesta (White Zombie, Testament) to be a part of it because I knew they were both big fans as well and with no hesitation they said, 'We're in.'"

Wilson, too, was stoked by the opportunity to dust off some songs he hadn't played since his LA rock trio broke up in the early 2000's after releasing eight albums and playing as Henry Rollins' backing band. "I definitely didn't need any arm-twisting," he says. "I was totally flattered and thought it was a great idea. I figured it would be fun and it was a great opportunity for a new chapter to be established in order to move forward."

The recordings from those two days are what became to be known as MOTOR SISTER's Ride. The first single from those sessions, "This Song Reminds Me of You," is available for to stream, along with a featurette video on the formation of the band and the process behind the record, at
metalblade.com/motorsister.

Ride is available now in North America on Metal Blade Records. The album can be ordered at

The Persevering Promise - "Animals" Music Video

As a band, we appreciate all different types of music. The thing about pop music is that its already musically set up to be heavily rhythm oriented and extremely catchy. We love to take a top 40 song and give it a metal makeover. Nothing like a little sccreaming and some double bass to make a pop song POP. - Jesse Barton

About The Persevering Promise:

Post-hardcore band, The Persevering Promise, has opened the ears and pulled on the heartstrings of fans and critics throughout the United States and overseas with their debut LP, An Illusion In Shambles. The dynamic anthems of The Persevering Promise are comprised of strong, honest vocals, ranging from vibrant hooks to solid gang chants, monstrous guitar riffs and technical, animalistic, powerhouse drumming.

You may recognize The Persevering Promise from festivals such as Vans Warped Tour at which the band spent the last 3 summers hustling their hearts out to gain fans and spread their music, with much success. The Persevering Promise rocked Michigan’s Dirt Fest last year headlined by Killswitch Engage, and spent nearly half of 2014 on the road. With a bright future in their sights, the band continues to persevere.

DEATHWISH Signs With Beer City Skateboards And Records:
Debut LP To See Record Store Day Release + Tour Dates With MDC Announced

Milwaukee-based Beer City Skateboards And Records -- label home to MDC, DRI, Toxic Reasons, Raw Power, Verbal Abuse, The Faction, Die Kreuzen and more -- has signed Wisconsin-based DEATHWISH for a three-album deal, beginning with their debut LP, Out For Blood, which will be released on Record Store Day. In addition, DEATHWISH has been confirmed to hit the road on tour with the likes of legendary acts MDC, Raw Power, Deviated Instinct and more in the months ahead.

Hailing from Northern Wisconsin, with members from Wartorn, Dresden, The Parish and more, DEATHWISH is a fierce, motorcharged quartet that annihilates everything in its path. Elements of punk, hardcore and straight-up rock with an extremely rapid pace unite in the band's sound, making them prime for ragers and rockers who frequent Motörhead, GBH, Disfear, Zeke and Midnight LPs or can't get enough of the circle pit. Following successful tours and the lightning-fast depletion of their debut 7", the band hit the studio right away and now strike out with their debut LP, Out For Blood.

Delivering nine, relentless, guitar-driven, take-no-prisoners tracks that topple everything in earshot, DEATHWISH recorded Out For Blood with Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording, after which the platter was mastered by Jack Control (Severed Head of State, World Burns to Death) at Enormous Door Mastering. Finalized with artwork by Marald, Randall Witte and Doomsday Graphics, the vinyl version of Out For Blood will debut as an official Record Store Day release on Saturday, April 18th, limited to 1000 copies on translucent red vinyl, as well as digital release, and a very limited edition cassette version on OSD Press and Berzerker Records. COAL CHAMBER Premiere Title Track From New Album Rivals Via Revolver Magazine

North American Tour Going on Now!

Los Angeles, California's COAL CHAMBER will release their new album Rivals on May 19th in North America via Napalm Records.  This is the band's first new album in over thirteen years.  With producer Mark Lewis at the helm, Rivals makes it seem as if COAL CHAMBER never took a break at all.  They picked up right where they left off and have delivered what some may consider their best work to date.  Pre-orders for Rivals in special bundles packages including a CD/DVD, LP (Limited to 1,000 Purple LP's), T-Shirt, beanie and wristbands are available HERE.

Last week saw the release of the first single from Rivals entitled "I.O.U. Nothing".  That song can be streamed HERE.  Today a second song from Rivals has been made available for streaming.  Check out the exclusive premiere of the title track "Rivals" courtesy of Revolver Magazine HERE.

In support of RivalsCOAL CHAMBER are on a North American Headline Tour that kicked off this past weekend. Support on the tour is being provided by Filter, Combichrist and label mates American Head Charge.  The tour stops tonight in Sacramento, CA and runs through April 12th in Dallas, TX.  COAL CHAMBER is offering an exclusive VIP Packages for every date on the tour HERE.  The VIP package includes a meet and greet with the band, exclusive t-shirt, exclusive poster, souvenir laminate and early entry (where applicable).

While their implosion 12 years ago left a morass of questions and conjecture about what could have been, the members of COAL CHAMBER aren't into dwelling on their past right now. Why the fuck should they? With Rivals, they've written a new, emboldened chapter in their storied career, delivering beatdown riffage, lyrical diatribes and alluring sonic vistas the realm of heavy music can always use to move that culture forward. The return of COAL CHAMBER is marked by two mindsets. The first signifies a celebration of friends who have experienced a greater clarity about them to want to come together in a practice space again. The other mindset posits that they had a case of unfinished business they needed to take care of with bold strokes, lead-pipe cruelty and aural finesse.

Rivals Track Listing:

1. I.O.U. Nothing

2. Bad Blood Between Us

Our goals as a band are to grow, tour, produce high quality music and make enough money to support said recording and touring."

AGNOSTIC FRONT Premiere Video For "Police Violence"

on Lambgoat

The American Dream Died Out April 7th in North America Via

Nuclear Blast

New York hardcore pioneers AGNOSTIC FRONT have released a video for the song "Police Violence" which comes off their upcoming album The American Dream Died.  The video is being exclusively premiered in North America, on Lambgoat check it out HERE.  In addition to the video the band has also posted a "making of" feature.  It can be viewed HERE.

The band filmed a webisode series documenting the production process and the background for the new album The American Dream Died.   View The first webisode can be seen HERE.  The second installment entitled "Stigma Being Stigma" HERE.

The American Dream Died was produced by MADBALL singer Freddy Cricien and engineered, mixed and mastered by Paul Miner (H2OTERROR) and will be released April 7, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The record will feature guest appearances by CricienToby Morse (H2O) and Lou Koller (SICK OF IT ALL).  The band also announced the collaboration of legendary AGNOSTIC FRONT/MADBALL guitarist Matt Henderson on the song "A Wise Man."

Each vinyl edition of the album will also contain a download code for the album Your Time's Up by THE ALLIGATORS, a rowdy punk project featuring AGNOSTIC FRONT singer Roger Miret and members of legendary Anaheim, CA hardcore band INSTED.

The American Dream Diedwill be available as digital download, on vinyl as well as on CD. A limited bundle with an exclusive T-Shirt will be available, too - surf to http://smarturl.it/AmericanDream-NB to secure your copy!

A track-by-track commentary for every song on the new album, written by the band's iconic front man, Roger Miretcan be read below.

The American Dream Died:  It's a harsh look at what's going on today in our society. The intro that precedes this song says it all! It's a reaction to everything happening around us right now. The higher ups are out of control!

Police Violence: This is our reaction to what's going on in our country regarding the unprovoked brutality of our citizens by those who we pay to "protect and serve" us.  If they are going to act like criminals, then they should be prosecuted as one! They have some kind of elite fraternity-like understanding that they protect each other with.  Don't abuse your badge!

Only In America: It's sad to learn that the people who serve in our military and risk their lives fighting in wars come home to the government not giving a shit about them, especially if those veterans were wounded mentally or physically. They gotta go through a lot of bullshit just to try and get a little help and support. You've gotta be blind if you don't see that, only in America. This is why I strongly believe the US Government should stop policing the world, and start caring for the issues right here in the USA!

Test Of Time: Learning from the past is important, to help you move forward and not make the mistakes we did in our youth. Longevity is the key to success. We won't get left behind.

We Walk The Line: It's a statement of who we are and how we live in relation to the hardcore community.

Never Walk Alone: We always spoke about unity and how sticking together will help us grow as scene. Hardcore is worldwide now. This is our scene, our passion and it was great to present this song with honorable NYHC veteran's Freddy Cricien (MADBALL), Toby Morse (H2O) and Lou Koller (SICK OF IT ALL) joining on the anthemy chorus!!! Punk rock/Hardcore is a movement it's not an image!

Enough Is Enough: Protest song! I once read an inspiring quote that went like this "I hold it, that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical" - Thomas Jefferson.

I Can't Relate: Dealing with different people you don't like in different situations. Could be applied to a boss, ex girlfriend, someone who lives a completely opposite lifestyle, etc.

Old New York: New York City has lost its edge. It's been stripped of its culture and over run by money. Making it hard for musicians and artist to live there. Now we're surrounded by transplants and rich hipsters. Let's face it, it's not the NYC I once adored. That one is so well documented in one of my favorite movies Taxi Driver! Hence the intro, I Miss The Old New York.

Social Justice: Nothing is more disgusting than hearing about a grown man rapping a child. This song talks about a man who got caught in the act and was served street justice stabbed with knives from his head to his toes. Justice served!

Reasonable Doubt: Our whole lives we've been criminalized for one reason or another. But it's actually the media, the corporations and the government who are the scumbags. Power to the people standing up against them. Wake the fuck up people!

No War Fuck You: Self explanatory, stop creating wars so you can justify your unlimited defense budget and make all your friends rich. Innocent people are dying for your stupid games.

Attack!: On some occasions people tend to disrespect and take our kindness for weakness. We have always been known for never taken shit from anyone. Cross the line and we will attack!

A Wise Man: Growing up in NYC living in and out of Vinnie's apartment. Our old friend John always looked out for us like a father figure. He tried to guide us in the right direction and give us good advice. He was a wise man, a friend forever.

Just Like Yesterday: This song takes us on the journey through our history as a band, from touring all over the world and making friends that still remain loyal today. One of my favorite lines is "From NYC to the Berlin beat." It shows our love for those two great cities and our great world accomplishments as a hardcore community.

HBO ANNOUNCES SECOND INSTALLMENT OF

THE GAME OF THRONES MIXTAPE

Catch the Throne: The Mixtape Vol. 2 features tracks from Mastodon, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Method Man, Snoop Dogg and Yandel

BLOOD MOUNTAIN COLOR VINYL REISSUE AVAIALBLE NOW

TICKETS ON SALE FOR THE MISSING LINK TOUR

March 6, 2015 - (Burbank, CA) - HBO has announced the release of THE GAME OF THRONES MIXTAPE, Catch the Throne: The Mixtape Vol. 2, which will feature tracks from several artists including Mastodon. HBO offers the following details:

HBO has teamed up with some of the music industry's top artists for the second installment of Catch the Throne: The Mixtape, for the Emmy® - and Golden Globe - winning series Game of Thrones. Building on the success of Volume 1 - with over 2.5MM streams to date - that attracted hip-hop and reggaeton fans alike, Volume 2 will feature Method Man, Snoop Dogg and Yandel, and will transcend genres by adding Grammy-nominated metal bands Mastodon, Anthrax and Killswitch Engage to the mixtape lineup. The mixtape will be released in anticipation of the season 5 debut of Game of Thrones airing April 12th on HBO.

Produced by Launch Point Records, the 15-song mixtape features diverse artists representing Game of Thrones families, leveraging themes and highlights from season 4. Showcasing the importance of music in Game of Thrones, each song on the mixtape samples music from the show's season 4 soundtrack. This year's mixtape also weaves in the overarching theme of fire and ice, providing listeners with an exciting line-up of heavy metal and hip-hop artists.

As huge fans of the series, artists were eager to participate. "Off the top, I love Game of Thrones - I even gave my expert analysis of this season on my GGN show. It's like the rap game, it's gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top," stated Snoop Dogg. "I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it."

Lucinda Martinez, SVP of Multicultural Marketing at HBO stated, "Catch the Throne: The Mixtape garnered much praise and piqued interest of artists wanting to partake in its sequel. We're excited to seize the opportunity to channel the fandom of these artists into volume 2 and give audiences another opportunity to experience original music inspired by the show. We are particularly excited to integrate heavy metal into the mixtape this time around to continue our celebration of this groundbreaking series." Scott Ian, founding member of Anthrax, stated "As fans of Game of Thrones, we are extremely excited to collaborate on this project. Recording a song about the Lannister family allows us to connect more with our fans and Game of Thrones fans in a way we would have never imagined."

Catch the Throne: The Mixtape Vol. 2 will be released next month, free of charge. Listeners are encouraged to share using the hashtag #CatchTheThrone.

As previously announced, Mastodon have announced they will reissue all of their Reprise Records titles on vinyl in the coming months. The first album in the series will be 2006's Blood Mountain, which is available right now on a mix of solid yellow and transparent green vinyl. Upon its release, Guitar World called Blood Mountain "pulverizing," with an "utter restlessness that grips you tighter with each cut." It also placed at No. 9 on Rolling Stone's Top 50 Albums of 2007. The next installment will be on June 2nd, featuring 2009's Crack the Skye, pressed on baby blue vinyl. Earning Mastodon unanimous critical praise, the album led to Rolling Stone calling them "the greatest metal band of their generation - no one else comes close," while Revolver praised Crack the Skye as the work of "a band at the peak of its musical and conceptual powers." We'll remind you of the other titles as we approach the countdown.

Not enough Mastodon? As an added bonus, Mastodon will release a Limited Edition 12" vinyl picture disc in celebration of Record Store Day on April 18th, which features original artwork by Mastodon guitarist, Brent Hinds.  The disc is comprised of a new song titled "Atlanta," featuring guest vocals Gibby Haynes from Butthole Surfers, originally only digitally available as part of the Adult Swim Singles Series. The 'B-Side" is an unreleased instrumental version of "Atlanta," and is exclusive to this very limited RSD pressing.

Don't Miss Mastodon on the road as they co-headline with their friends Clutch during THE MISSING LINK TOUR, which kicks off on April 16th in St. Paul, MN, with support provided by Big Business. Sweden's Graveyard will then take over the main support slot starting in Los Angeles on April 29th for the remaining dates, closing out the tour in Columbus, OH on May 24th.  Tickets are on sale now. The album sold slightly over 5,000 copies its first week of release.

“We’re all beyond stoked the record is doing so well,” said the band.  “Can’t thank everyone enough who has supported the band over the years. It means everything to us.”
Entertainment Weekly recently wrote of the new offering: “…gloriously fuzzy, sludgy, hard-hitting fourth album from four of loud rock’s most adroit genre-benders” while Pitchfork said “Torche have made their most compelling record since Meanderthal.”  The Chicago Tribune commented: “Torche's music connects muscle, songcraft and drive in a way that few bands of recent vintage can match” and the Washington Post added “the heaviness is almost otherworldly on Torche’s fourth album.”

AGNOSTIC FRONT Release First The American Dream Died Webisode

Available April 7th in North America Via Nuclear Blast

New York hardcore pioneers AGNOSTIC FRONT have posted the first video in the webisode series the band filmed documenting the production process and the background for the new album The American Dream Died. Check out the first webisode HERE.

AGNOSTIC FRONT has announced that as a special bonus in each vinyl edition of the album, every copy will also contain a download code for the album Your Time's Up by THE ALLIGATORS, a rowdy punk project featuring AGNOSTIC FRONT singer Roger Miret and members of legendary Anaheim, CA hardcore band INSTED.

Commented Miret: "Matt Henderson tracked all guitars for 'A Wise Man' being that song has a total One Voice era feel! Our good friend Ricky Singh (BACKTRACK NYHC) is to credit for the songs existence! The band executed it with such a great feel and bringing in our brother and ex-AF veteran Matt Henderson to solely do the guitar tracks was just magical!"

The American Dream Diedwill be available as digital download, on vinyl as well as on CD. A limited bundle with an exclusive T-Shirt will be available, too - surf to http://smarturl.it/AmericanDream-NB  to secure your copy!

______________________________________________

Recently AGNOSTIC FRONT posted a track-by-track commentary for every song on the new album. It was written by the band's iconic front man, Roger Miretand can be read below.

DISGRACE The True Enemy Tour:

4/12/2015 Amityville Music Hall - Amityville, NY

4/13/2015 Bogies - Albany, NY

4/14/2015 Sala Rossa - Montreal, QC

4/17/2015 The Voltage Lounge - Philadelphia, PA w/ Nails, Incendiary

4/18/2015 The Palladium - Worcester, MA @ New England Metal & Hardcore Fest [info]

A recent interview by Shawn Macomber with Dan Seagrave, known for his works for Dismember, Morbid Angel, Entombed and countless others, was posted at Shock Till You Drop, the article featuring the artist's new creation for DISGRACE's True Enemy cover and much more. Check it out at THIS LOCATION.

True Enemy's fourth track, "Uncreation," was recently released via Decibel RIGHT HERE.

DISGRACE will strike out at backstabbers, cowards and religious zealots with pure fury through one of the most infectious, groove-heavy, death-influenced hardcore records in recent times with True Enemy. Featuring members of Nails, Creatures, Forced Order, and four-fifths of Twitching Tongues, DISGRACE devastates with harshness of masters Merauder, Cold As Life and All Out War, yet taking on metallic attributes of early Bolt Thrower, Celtic Frost, Cannibal Corpse and Sepultura, delivering a modern, punishing metallic groove. DISGRACE will now grab the scene by its throat with their debut LP, produced and recorded at The Pit in Van Nuys, California by vocalist Taylor Young (also of Nails, Twitching Tongues), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, Nails, Blacklisted). True Enemy's thirty-four minutes of executioner style metallic hardcore have been shrouded in appropriately grim cover art by legendary artist Dan Seagrave. True Enemy will see release via Closed Casket Activities digitally, on CD and on vinyl on March 24th, the LP with a 24" x 36" poster as well as a digital download. Additional audio samples, preorder links, new tour dates and other announcements are impending.

Sony Music Entertainment and Legacy Recordings Sign
Guitarist/Songwriter/Producer Steve Vai to New Multi-Album Deal

First Release Under New Agreement, Stillness In Motion - Vai Live in L.A.
Available in 2CD and 2DVD Configurations on April 7, 2015

Sony Music Entertainment and Legacy Recordings have signed virtuoso guitarist/composer/producer Steve Vai to a new multi-album agreement which includes plans to issue two fresh Vai sets in 2015 beginning with the release of Stillness In Motion - Vai Live in L.A. on April 7, 2015.

Vai's first release under the new SONY/Legacy agreement will be Stillness In Motion - Vai Live in L.A., a spectacular performance recorded October 12, 2012 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Available in 2CD and 2DVD configurations, Stillness In Motion revisits the 49th concert from Vai's monumental Story of Light World Tour.

Running from 2012 through 2014, The Story of Light World Tour totaled out at 253 engagements (including shows, master classes and concerts with various orchestras) in 52 countries.

In addition to the full Club Nokia performance, the 2DVD configuration of Stillness In Motion includes a bonus disc premiering "The Space Between the Notes (Tour Mischief)," a revelatory video diary comprised of more than three and a half hours of footage, lensed around the world on-stage, off-stage and behind-the-scenes during Vai's epic Story of Light World Tour.

"To say that this tour was a powerful life experience would be like saying the sun is hot," writes Steve Vai in his personal liner notes penned for Stillness In Motion.

Following Stillness In Motion, SONY/Legacy will release an album of new Steve Vai material, marking a significant next chapter in the musician's growing canon.

The new multi-album deal marks an SME homecoming for Vai, who set the gold and platinum standard for rock instrumental music across a series of albums released through Relativity and Epic Records from 1990's game-changing Passion and Warfare (his 2nd album and 1st major label release) through 2007's orchestral Sound Theories, Vol. I & II.

Vai will be hosting his second Vai Academy — the ultimate guitar experience — August 2-6, in beautiful Vail, Colorado, at The Arrabelle at Vail Square.  With the theme All About The Guitar set for this year, attendees will spend four days and nights discovering the intricacies of the guitar while enjoying once-in-a-lifetime clinics, workshops and jams from the likes of Vai and his handpicked guest instructors, including special guests Eric Johnson and Sonny Landreth. Musicians of all ages and levels are welcome.  For more information, visit:  www.vaiacademy.com. Closing out the week of Vai Academy, Vai will headline Electric Day at Guitar Town on August 9 in Copper Mountain, Colorado, at The Village at Copper.  The free annual festival will also include performances that weekend by Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Sonny Landreth, John Jorgenson and Andy McKee, among others.  For more information:  www.villageatcopper.com/guitarTown/

About Steve Vai
Steve Vai, age 12, picked up the guitar in 1973 and started taking lessons from Joe Satriani (another future guitar hero) shortly after. He soaked up influences ranging from Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page to Jimi Hendrix and Brian May and by the end of the 1970s, was transcribing guitar parts for Frank Zappa. He became a full member of Zappa's band in 1980.

Rapidly becoming one of the most in-demand, versatile, eloquent and soulful sidemen in the business, Vai recorded with Alcatrazz, Whitesnake, David Lee Roth and Public Image Ltd.

He launched his solo career with the release of Flex-Able, a homemade indie album, in 1984. Since 1990, he has recorded and released eight studio albums, eight live albums, two EPs, 12 soundtracks, 20 compilation albums, seven videos and more. Steve Vai has earned 15 Grammy nominations and has won three Grammy Awards and appeared as a guest artist on more than 40 albums, playing with artists like Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Gregg Bissonnett and Joe Jackson, among others.

(New York, N.Y.): VAMPS, the Japanese rock band formed by and featuring HYDE (L'Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust), will release a new studio album, Bloodsuckers, through Spinefarm Records on March 24. The pre-order is HERE.

This 13 track release-produced by VAMPS and Josh Wilbur (whose previous credits include Gojira and Lamb of God) and housed in the artwork of mysterious Japanese artist Rockin' Jelly Bean-is the follow-up to Sex Blood Rock N' Roll, released in 2013.

Songs on Bloodsuckers include "World's End," a UK single in 2014, and used in the Sony campaign for the Xperia UK mobile), "Get Away," "Replay," "The Jolly Roger," and "Vampire's Love," which is not just a Top 3 single in Japan but also the song selected to launch Hollywood blockbuster, Dracula Untold, in that market.

In addition, "Replay" was the theme song of Dark Labyrinth, one in a series of a world-famous smartphone apps from Dark Summoner; the app has been downloaded over six million times. "The Jolly Roger" features in the TV commercial for Nissan's X-Trail SUV. It's no surprise then that the album has already been a Top 5 success in Japan.

Says Hyde, who launched VAMPS with K.A.Z in 2008, "Bloodsuckers is a record that we spent almost one year putting together. For me, this is the best work we've done so far, and we would love to tour around the world with these songs."

Bloodsuckers sees VAMPS pushing their take on contemporary hard rock to exotic new heights, blending melody and message over 50 minutes of dramatic, impassioned music.

"Our aim was to build on the excitement of our headline show at Koko in London last year, and of course our appearance at the Download Festival in the UK," explained Hyde.

On the live front, VAMPS have played over 300 dates around the world in the past five years, including shows in North America; they have also visited the South American continent, where their second album, Beast (2010), charted in the Top 4 - a unique achievement for a Japanese act.

Most recently, they completed a run of dates in Japan (33 shows to 65,000 people), climaxing with a worldwide webcast of their Zepp Tokyo show on January 25.

Next, on February 18 + 19, VAMPS will be hosting and headlining their own festival, VAMPARK FEST, set to take place at the legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo; the bill will be completed by special guests Sixx:A.M., plus Buckcherry, Gerard Way and Nothing More.

Outside of Japan, VAMPS will tour the US with Sixx:AM in April; this major run of dates - which also features Finland's Apocalyptica - kicks off in in San Francisco on April 8 at The Regency Ballroom.

Says Nikki Sixx of Sixx:A.M, "Sixx:A.M. just played our first Japanese show ever with VAMPS in Tokyo at Budokan. They really gave us our first opportunity to play in front of so many rock fans in Japan. We now want to extend the same for them by bringing them out on tour with us. We can't wait for our fans to discover them all across the U.S."

EUROPE’s place as a legendary classic rock band was platinum-stamped early in their career, having enjoyed an explosive period of worldwide success in the ‘80s, under-pinned by their hit album and single The Final Countdown, before going on hiatus between 1992 and 2003. They reunited and quickly settled into a period of re-establishment which has seen them re-enforce their reputation worldwide as one of the premier purveyors of blues-tinged classic rock with an edge and some kick. Their last album, 2012’s Bag of Bones, saw EUROPE hit the UK top 40 rock album charts and debut at #2 on the Swedish national charts.

War of Kings is set to take full advantage of the global groundwork EUROPE have put in over the last few years.

EUROPE is:

Joey Tempest – lead vocals, acoustic & rhythm guitar, keyboards

John Norum – lead & rhythm guitars, backing vocals

John Leven – bass, backing vocals

Mic Michaeli – keyboards, piano, backing vocals, rhythm guitar

Ian Haugland – drums, percussion, backing vocals

SATYRICON Signs With Napalm Records

For Release of Spectacular Live DVD!

Norwegian Black Metal legends SATYRICON have signed a worldwide deal with Austrian metal label Napalm Records for release of their upcoming DVD Live At The Opera!

Mastermind Satyr about the story behind Live At The Opera:

"The whole thing started with us doing one song, "To The Mountains" a year and a half before the actual show. We performed at a closed event in the main hall of the opera with the Royal Norwegian Opera Chorus. It was very inspirational. I then said to the conductor that I would love to do a whole show like this. He loved the idea, I was serious about it, and he was serious about it.

We spent approximately one and a half year working with composer and arranger Kjetil Bjerkestrand on the choral arrangements. When I picked songs, I was not necessarily looking at only songs suitable for choral arrangements or typical in the Satyricon live set. For me, it had to be a combination. If you look at songs like "Die By My Hand", it`s pretty obvious we`ll want to use a choir for that because it has a choir on the record too. On the other hand, there were other things I had to consider. For example, "K.I.N.G." is probably the most famous Satyricon song ever - and not necessarily a song I can imagine with choral arrangements. But just because people hear it more or less the same way always, I thought it would be interesting to take that song and give it a totally different vibe for this one time. And it`s also interesting to see if we can work it around the structure of a song that is more or less straightforward.

For something that we planned for so long, put so much work into, and something this unique - of course it would be nice to film it and record it. But I made it very clear to the people around Satyricon that I`m not going to turn this into a recording session where you can buy tickets. When you hear or or watch this recording you should feel like you're there.

This is not "Satyricon - Best Of from the Opera", this is a show! The perfect parts need to go in there, but also the parts that are not so perfect. That`s the nature of it, that`s the real deal. It's not a live album. It's a celebration of what Satyricon stands for as a band."

Live At The Opera is set to be released in Europe on May 1st & on May 5th  2015 in North America via Napalm Records. This upcoming release will contain the full performance DVD and double CD of this exclusive and very special concert by the legendary Satyricon.

AGNOSTIC FRONT Post Video Intro for Upcoming Webisode Series

Announce Special Bonus For Vinyl Edition of

The American Dream Died

New York hardcore pioneers AGNOSTIC FRONT have posted an intro video for the upcoming webisode series the band filmed documenting the production process and the background for the new album The American Dream Died. Check out the video intro HERE.

The American Dream Died will be available as digital download, on vinyl as well as on CD.

ICELANDIC HEAVY METAL DRAMA, METALHEAD
AVAILABLE ON DEMAND APRIL 3

SCREENINGS ANNOUNCED IN EIGHT CITIES,
INCLUDING NY, LA, SEATTLE & PORTLAND

... a gorgeous, harrowing, touching, and, despite its black metal grim moments, ultimately, uplifting piece of tour de force filmmaking with a soundtrack that previously only existed in the dreams of
trve-ly cultivated headbangers.

Decibel Magazine

If the beautiful, messy, and gritty but ultimately universal human experience of life doesn't warm you up,
perhaps a good church burning will?

Metal Underground

New York, NY (February 12, 2015) Boasting a soundtrack of 80s/90s headbanging classics, Icelandic director Ragnar Bragasons intense drama Metalhead will be available On Demand starting April 3. Distributed by Cinelicious Pics, the VOD release will arrive shortly after a handful of special screenings being held nationwide, including at New Yorks Cinema Village (March 20 26) and Los Angeles Laemmle NoHo 7 (March 27 April 2) along with Seattles SIFF Uptown Theatre (Feb. 27 March 1) and Portlands Hollywood Theatre (April 10 - 16).  The movie will be shown in eight cities (with more to be announced soon) and a full list of screenings can be found below.

Fueled by a remarkable breakout performance by actress Thora Bjorg Helga, Bragasons drama of loss, faith, redemption, and heavy metal begins with a farming accident in the 1980s that sends a young girl named Hera and her parents into a tail-spin of grief over the death of her heavy metal music-obsessed older brother. A decade later, Hera is transformed into a surly headbanger, dressed in black leather and a Slayer t-shirt, clutching her dead brothers electric guitar as she howls anthems of rage to a barn full of cows. Seemingly trapped in a haunted landscape of slaughterhouses and barren winter fields, making all the wrong choices in her life, Hera slowly and painfully comes to terms with her familys loss and the sound of her own true voice.

Decibel Magazine premiered a scene from the film where Hera watches a newscast about the extreme nature of black metal and its connections to the Norwegian church burnings in the 1990s. That scene is basically an exact copy of my life, Bragason recalled during an interview with
Noisey about the scene, which serves as a pivotal moment in this female headbangers life.

Watch the scene here:
www.decibelmagazine.com/featured/metalhead/

Metalhead was the winner of 8 awards at the 2014 Icelandic Film Awards (including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, and Original Score by noted Icelandic musician Petur Ben). It received rave reviews during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, as well as during a special screening held at the 2014 CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Metalhead is a very personal piece of my filmography, declares Bragason. It grew out of my collective love for film and Metal music, which was something I grew up listening to and has been a lifelong passion of mine. I sincerely hope that the U.S audience, both fans of film and music can find in it something to love and identify with.

COAL CHAMBER to Release Rivals This May on Napalm Records

Artwork, Track Listing and Release Dates Revealed

Reactivated Los Angeles, California's COAL CHAMBER have confirmed a May 19th North America release date for their new album Rivals.  This is the band's first new album in over thirteen years.  With producer Mark Lewis at the helm, Rivals makes it seem as if COAL CHAMBER never took a break at all.  They picked up right where they left off and have delivered what some may consider their best work to date.  Today the artwork (pictured above) and track listing for Rivals have been revealed.

Frontman Dez Fafara on Rivals:

"This record was over 13 years in the Making and I promise this record won't disappoint and will be worth the wait!  Rivals is solid through and through, there's maturity and growth in the music while still maintaining the true COAL CHAMBER sound and delivering track after track of killer tunes!  We had a great time working together on this record and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!"

In support of Rivals,COAL CHAMBER will be on a North American Headline Tour this Spring. Support on the tour will come from Filter, Combichrist and American Head Charge.  The tour begins March 6th in Tempe, AZ and runs through April 12th in Dallas, TX.  COAL CHAMBER is offering an exclusive VIP Packages for every date on the tour HERE.  The VIP package includes a meet and greet with the band, exclusive t-shirt, exclusive poster, souvenir laminate and early entry (where applicable).

COAL CHAMBER is a band stood as leaders at the forefront of new genres, constantly reinventing their sound and not fitting any mold except their own.   With sold out tours, and millions of records sold, COAL CHAMBER owned the Scene from the mid nineties until their tumultuous breakup in May of 2002.  Now they have returned to take their place at the top where they once were and intend to be there for years to come.  Call it what you want, "The Return", "The Second Coming of", but no matter what you call it, be prepared for COAL CHAMBER to rule again.

Rivals Track Listing:

1. I.O.U. Nothing

2. Bad Blood Between Us

ZAKK WYLDE ANNOUNCES UNBLACKENED TOUR DATES
CATACOMBS OF THE BLACK VATICAN OUT NOW!

(New York, NY) - Hard rock legends BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, fronted by guitar icon ZAKK WYLDE, have announced the Unblackened tour. Originally performed as a one night only concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles for a live CD/DVD release two years ago, the show will now make its way across the U.S.  The show will feature intimate versions of some of the band’s most popular songs, as well as songs from Wylde’s best-selling solo album Book of Shadows & his Southern rock band Pride & Glory.  “I always wanted to take Unblackened on the road, we just didn’t have the time until now,” said Wylde. “You can take a song that you’ve played thousands of times and rearrange it, and all of a sudden it’s something totally fresh. The attitude of the songs doesn’t change when we play them acoustically–the tunes are gritty regardless.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has been on the road constantly in support of their latest release Catacombs of the Black Vatican. The band recently wrapped up a block of successful tour dates with HATEBREED and BUTCHER BABIES which took them across the States and Canada, followed by an electric performance at the 2015 annual SHIPROCKED CRUISE. Rocking on the high seas is nothing new for BLS as they have also participated in the inaugural MOTORBOAT CRUISE just last year.
Catacombs of the Black Vatican was released on April 8th, 2014 and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and #1 on the Rock and Independent Charts. The chart topping LP was also hailed as one of the "Best Albums of 2014" by REVOLVER MAGAZINEThe new effort has accumulated critical praise with outlets like LOUDWIRE declaring "Wylde’s guitar playing has always been at an extremely high level, but the instrument that’s improved steadily over the years is his voice." New Jersey's  AQUARIAN WEEKLY states, "This is Black Label Society at its finest!"

With cover appearances on the likes of both Guitar Player and Guitar World magazines and a first ever TV performance on Late Night with Seth Meyers following the release of Catacombs Of The Black Vatican, the presence of the band has dug itself deeper into the history of modern day rock music.

From "Death Throes" Album

Austin, Texas based Metal band Southern Front has released an, intense Horror themed music video for their track "Face Down", from their new album Death Throes, now available for purchase on
iTunes and other digital music retailers.

We always strive to improve ourselves as songwriters and musicians as well as expand our sound while keeping it fresh and unique. We feel like we've accomplished that with the new album Death Throes. The songs each have their own identity and sound different musically but the common theme lyrically is consequence. Even when you’re in the throes of death, you still have to live with what you’ve done and everything you'll leave behind. - Jason Bingham (Southern Front)

MASTODON & CLUTCH JOIN FORCES TO PUMMEL THROUGH

THE MISSING LINK TOUR
TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY JANUARY 23RD FOR SPRING CO-HEADLINE TOUR

GRAVEYARD WILL SUPPORT / BIG BUSINESS TO SUPPORT WHERE NOTED

January 20, 2015 - (Burbank, CA) - Two of the world's most respected and influential hard rock bands Mastodon and Clutch are proud to announce THE MISSING LINK TOUR, which brings together both bands as they join forces along with special guests Graveyard and Big Business - each taking part of the tour as support.Together, this night of heavy rock will be one of the heaviest and most exciting concert events of the year.

THE MISSING LINK TOUR kicks off on April 16th in St. Paul, MN. with support provided by Big Business, who recently supported Mastodon throughout a sold-out European tour. Sweden's  Graveyard will then take over the main support slot starting in Los Angeles on April 29th for the remaining dates, closing out the tour in Columbus, OH on May 24th.  Tickets are on sale now.

Mastodon and Clutch share a longtime friendship as fans will recall Clutch front man Neil Fallon contributed vocals to "Blood And Thunder" (from Mastodon's 2004's Leviathan) so fans can expect surprises in store for fans throughout the tour rumbling across North America. THE MISSING LINK TOUR will feature full sets from both Mastodon and Clutch. Clutch will close the show on April 24th in Vancouver, May 10th in Pittsburgh, May 15th in Bethlehem,  May 16th in Baltimore and also the final night of the tour,  May 24th  in Columbus. Mastodon will close all other shows.  For further info on Mastodon, go to: http://www.mastodonrocks.com/.  For further info on Clutch go to http://www.pro-rock.com

Clutch drummer Jean-Paul Gaster had this to say about the tour."We are very much looking forward to our US tour with our friends in Mastodon. We always enjoy playing live but when we have the opportunity to share the stage with a band as inspiring as Mastodon we know each evening will be that much more special. See ya out there!"

Mark your calendars, as THE MISSING LINK TOUR will roll into Denver's prestigious Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 3rd, and joins the stellar line up for Atlanta's Shaky Knee's Festival on May 8th.  The New York City show will take over the  celebrated Central Park Summer Stage annual concert series on May 19th.  General tickets on-sale Friday, January 23rd.

As previously announced, Mastodon have been nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for "High Road," from ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN. This is the band's third Grammy nomination.  The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on Feb 8th. Tune into CBS TV.

Revered Maryland rockers Clutch have been pushing the boundaries that define heavy rock music since the 4 original members got together in high school. Clutch is an unmatched musical force that has been best described as "the quintessential American Rock Band". Clutch released their tenth and latest studio album Earth Rocker via their own label Weathermaker Music on March 16, 2013. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #15 giving the band their highest chart position to date.

Mastodon's sixth studio album, the universally praised, ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN, entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at the #6 position on June 24, 2014, also their highest chart debut of their career.  ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN has rightfully been placed in many Year End Critics & fan BEST OF 2014 lists including those in Rolling Stone, Revolver, Magnet, Decibel, CMJ and many more. At present Mastodon has remained on the CMJ Loud Rock charts for the 26th week in a row. When OMRTSwas placed No. 8 on Rolling Stone's "Top 20 Metal Albums of 2014" list, they summed up the success of the album stating, "The bold hooks and sharply defined riffs of Mastodon's sixth studio full-length makes it easy to hear this album as their evolution from prog-sludge wizards to straight-ahead hard rockers - but the reality is actually far more, er, complex... Ultimately, the best part of Sun is Mastodon's ability to make hooky and visceral music without sacrificing either their metallic muscle or their innate weirdness."

Clutch's Earth Rocker reached #1 on the Rock Chart and #4 on iTunes' overall Top 100 album chart. Earth Rocker was awarded "Album of The Year" by Metal Hammer and garnered a Top 10 spot on Rolling Stone's "Top 20 Metal Albums of the Year". Rolling Stone further enthused:  "Four Maryland lifers - road dogs who've been grinding since the early Fugazi administration, cranking out  seething admixtures of jam-band chops, careening blues-punk riffs and singer Neil Fallon's nerdy, piss-taking wiseass lyrics - release their hardest rocking set to date. Look for a go-go break (and some clever punning on the phrase "drop the bomb!") on "D.C. Sound Attack!" Inspirational verse: "If you're gonna do it/ do it live on stage/ or don't do it at all."

Clutch is currently working on their follow up to Earth Rocker which will be released in 2015.
